Maiga future
Manchester United are among a host of clubs in the race for Aboubacar Maiga.
The teenager has been dubbed the Malian Messi and has been courted by Barcelona.
Graeme Bailey on TBR Football claims United and Prem rivals Chelsea are both in for the teenager whizkid.
Scholes concern
Paul Scholes has had his say over Matheus Cunha – and worries he might not be the right fit for Manchester United at this time.
The ex-Red Devils midfielder wrote in his TNT column: “[Cunha] looks like he’s got the attributes that Ruben Amorim wants.
“He knows that physically, his team are just not strong or quick enough, so Matheus Cunha is obviously athletic, and he’s got quality with 15 league goals this season.
“I just worry for any signing coming to Manchester United at the minute. It just feels like it’s such a bad place to go. The quality of play right now is so poor…
“It would be nice to sign him, but I worry about where he fits in.”
Bruno – Hojlund knows his job
United captain Bruno Fernandes had no room for sentiment after Rasmus Hojlund ended his goal drought.
The Dane struck late against Bournemouth to salvage a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Bruno said: “Strikers are about scoring goals and we all know that.
“[Hojlund] knows the responsibility of being the No.9 of United and he has to score goals.
“That’s the demand of a club like this, not only for him, but for everyone else.”
Cunha deal ‘agreed’
In case you missed the big news of the day, Matheus Cunha has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
Reports in Spain claim a verbal agreement between the player and the Red Devils has been finalised.
Cunha has a £62.5million release clause and has hit 15 Premier League goals for Wolves this season.
