Liam Delap ‘agreement’
Manchester United have made a major breakthrough in their bid to sign Ipswich Town star Liam Delap.
According to ESPN, United have agreed terms with Ipswich over a deal to sign Delap,
It’s claimed that Man Utd chiefs have agreed the “framework” of a deal that would see them trigger the striker’s reduced £30million release clause.
While the Red Devils are also thought to have come to an agreement with the England Under-21 international over personal terms too.
However, a deal isn’t over the line yet with the 22-year-old still considering whether he would like to join United or head somewhere else with Chelsea also interested..
Gyokeres issue
Reported United target could be denied a reunion with Ruben Amorim by his girlfriend.
That’s according to A Bola, who claim Gyokeres’ other half – Ines Aguiar – has reportedly made “promises” to try to keep the Swede at Sporting Lisbon.
Amorim’s transfer hint
Ruben Amorim has hinted Manchester United may not be too busy in the upcoming transfer market by insisting he doesn’t need a big squad for the 2025/26 season.
He said: “We always prepare two plans. With and without the Champions League.
“Without the Champions League, we also don’t need a big squad.
“We can control the squad in a better way.
“Then we have a plan, that is to bring in some new players, but our big plan is to improve the team we have, to improve the Academy.
“It was the past, so it can be the future. It can’t change much because of Financial Fair Play, we are not allowed to do much, even with the Champions League, so we are prepared.”
Cherki interest
Manchester United are interested in signing Lyon star Rayan Cherki, according to reports.
Cherki, 21, will be allowed to leave his hometown club for around £19million this summer.
And according to French outlet Le Progres, Man Utd are the latest club to join the race for the starlet’s signature.
Man Utd battle for forward
Manchester United are preparing a ‘serious’ bid to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike this summer, CaughtOffside has reported.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are also linked to the striker, who could cost around £67m–£75m.
Cunha makes Man Utd demand
Manchester United-bound Matheus Cunha demanded to be given the club’s iconic number 10 jersey as part of his contract negotiations.
Sources close to the Brazilian say he sees himself as a protagonist and will relish the pressure of being United’s number 10.
