COPS have launched a murder investigation after a man in his 50s was found dead in North Staffordshire.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area near a cul-de-sac after receiving reports of an incident.
Authorities have arrested five people, including a boy, in connection with the investigation.
Staffordshire police said: “Five people have been arrested following the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.
“We were called to a home on Park Avenue, Werrington, just after 9pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 November).
“Sadly, a man aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed.”
Authorities revealed they detained two 31-year-old men, a 29-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman and a boy, all from the Stoke-on-Trent area, on suspicion of murder.
