PEP GUARDIOLA has warned Manchester City they need to be prepared for his eventual exit.
The future of the Spaniard at the Etihad beyond next summer is unclear at this stage and it has been reported that Chelsea gaffer Enzo Maresca is one the club would consider if the legendary boss leaves.
He added further fuel to the fire by admitting: “Maybe I’ll wake up in the morning and say ‘I am leaving.”
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss – under contract until 2027 – has enjoyed incredible success at City.
He’s won the Premier League title six times and also lifted the Champions League in an unforgettable Treble season.
Four League Cups and two FA Cup wins are also on the CV with Pep hoping to add further success this campaign.
Earlier in the week Maresca played down links to Man City, insisting he would be at Chelsea next season.
And now Pep has spoken out on the future.
He said: “I don’t have to text Hugo (Viana, director of football), I see him every day.
“We take a coffee every day together.

“Now maybe we’ll be busy in the next transfer window, in January, but I see him everyday.
“But, as I said the club has to be prepared and has been prepared in the past with Txiki because I am a weird guy.
“Maybe ill wake up in the morning and say ‘I am leaving, Ciao, Ciao.
“So they have to prepare but it is not the case.”
