A VAN has overturned on a major motorway, causing traffic mayhem for drivers in rush hour.
Three of four lanes on the M5 northbound are shut, with delays of an hour and a half for motorists.
National Highways reported five miles of traffic congestion.
The lanes are closed between Junction 6 for Worcester and Junction 5 for Wychbold in the West Midlands.
Motorists have been warned of delays lasting until midday.
“Three lanes (of 4) remain closed on the M5 northbound between J6 (Worcester) and J5 (Wychbold) following a collision, resulting in an overturned van,” National Highways posted on X.
“Recovery are en route to scene.
“There is now approx. 5 miles of congestion on approach, causing delays in excess of 60 minutes.”
