A MAJOR energy company is giving away free air fryers to some customers, as well as a whole host of other freebies.
The giveaway is in a bid to help the most vulnerable customers save cash throughout the harsh winter months.

EDF has confirmed it is relaunching its Winter Warmer Shop Scheme this year, with kettles and slow cookers amongst the other freebies customers can get their hands on.
This is in addition to the energy company’s Customer Support Fund, part of a £30 million winter support package.
The aim of the fund is to provide financial aid to customers in need.
Through the scheme, Brits will be given debt support via an agreed payment plan.
Customers will also be able to use the fund to replace old appliances with energy efficient ones, in a bid to reduce bills.
Some customers will also be able to apply for bundles of smaller products to keep them warm throughout the winter.
Through the Winter Warmer Shop Scheme, eligible customers will be able to apply for airfryers, kettles, slow cookers and energy vouchers.
Customers cannot apply for the scheme, and instead, those eligible will be contacted by EDF between November and February.
If you are not contacted about the Winter Warmer Shop, but believe you could still qualify for support, you can apply online for the Customer Support Fund.
You can also receive additional support through EDF’s Priority Services Register (PSR).
The PSR is a nationwide service that gives customers additional advice and support, especially if there has been disruption to the gas and electricity supply.
EDF customers are encouraged to join the PSR and inform them of any medical equipment that requires an uninterrupted power supply.
Those who join the PSR have been assured that their electricity, gas and water supplier will he informed of their needs.
This will allow them to be provided support in case of a power outage.
4 ways to keep your energy bills low
Laura Court-Jones, Small Business Editor at Bionic shared her tips.
1. Turn your heating down by one degree
You probably won’t even notice this tiny temperature difference, but what you will notice is a saving on your energy bills as a result. Just taking your thermostat down a notch is a quick way to start saving fast. This one small action only takes seconds to carry out and could potentially slash your heating bills by £171.70.
2. Switch appliances and lights off
It sounds simple, but fully turning off appliances and lights that are not in use can reduce your energy bills, especially in winter. Turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use, can save you up to £20 a year on your energy bills
3. Install a smart meter
Smart meters are a great way to keep control over your energy use, largely because they allow you to see where and when your gas and electricity is being used.
4. Consider switching energy supplier
No matter how happy you are with your current energy supplier, they may not be providing you with the best deals, especially if you’ve let a fixed-rate contract expire without arranging a new one. If you haven’t browsed any alternative tariffs lately, then you may not be aware that there are better options out there.
This comes as EDF launched a first-of-its-kind tariff offering free electricity – and it could save you £187 a year.
Its new Free Phase tariff will reflect wholesale energy charges, with customers able to adapt their electricity usage to when it’s most affordable.
Wholesale energy charges are the rates suppliers pay for electricity and gas before adding margins and selling them to businesses and households.
Prices fluctuate regularly due to a number of factors including supply and demand, fuel costs and even weather patterns.
But EDF said customers who are signed up to this offer can save money by shifting their energy usage away from peak times.
The more customers shift usage, the more money they save on their bill.
