The mercury is expected to rise throughout the week, reaching highs of up to 29C by Wednesday and Thursday.

Sunny spells are due to grace large parts of Britain, with some light rain expected in northern Scotland, the Met Office announced.

Luckily, the popular high street coffee retailer Costa Coffee has come to rescue with the perfect treat to boost your energy in the warm weather.

According to thrifty fans of the beloved chain, Costa Coffee is giving out free a bottle of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar – however, there is a catch.

Cash-savvy Facebook users have pointed out that this offer applies to only those with the Costa Club app, which treats loyal customers with fabulous deals.

Fans of the coffee chain can get their hands on a free birthday cake, or collect ”beans” to be entitled to a free drink after purchasing five.

Now, thrifty coffee lovers have gone totally wild over another deal – a free sugary drink that you can grab from any Costa Coffee branch.

Informing others about the deal, Rachael Hobson took to the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group to share the news.

”Free coke zero on the Costa app at the mo [moment]! Just got mine,” Rachael was all chuffed, as she uploaded a screenshot of the app deal.

The best part? There’s no need to buy anything else, Rachael explained.

The best loyalty schemes revealed & how to get freebies

”You can just go in for your freebie on it’s own,” she told fellow bargain hunters in the comments.

However, if you want to enjoy this soft drink free of charge, you will have to act quick – as the deal runs out on Sunday, May 4.

Members of Costa Club get one “bean” point for every drink they order – and get two if they bring in a reusable cup.

However, the coffee giant has announced a new change to this scheme.

Costa Coffee loyalty scheme perks

COSTA Club members can get early access to new menus among other perks.

To join download the Costa Coffee app, it’s free to download via the Apple app store or Google Play store.

Stamps can be collected in any of the chain’s 2,800 coffee shops, as well as around 12,000 machines in petrol stations and convenience stores.

You can get stamps for spending in store and using a reusable cup.

You get a free drink after collecting ten stamps, or beans as they are called.

For a small latte, at £3.50, it’s £35 to get a free coffee.

Those going to a Costa store can earn an additional bean with a reusable cup, so that cuts the outlay down to £17.50 or buying five coffees.

  • How it works: 1 drink purchased = 1 bean, 10 beans = free drink
  • Small latte cost: £3.50
  • Number of drinks to hit target: 10
  • Cost for a ‘free’ coffee: £35
  • Reusable cup bonus: Yes, one extra bean

You also get free cake on your birthday.

Customers can now use the new “Swaps” feature to get extra top-ups like syrups, cream or an extra shot of coffee in exchange for two “bean” points.

The brand says this will allow coffee drinkers to further personalise their hot drinks.

The offer has already become a major hit on Facebook, with Rachael’s post racking up dozens of likes and more than 60 comments.

”I had mine last week,” wrote one person.

”Got one sent today too,” chimed in another.

Unfortunately, not everyone had the best of luck nabbing the free beverage, as one Costa Coffee fan cried: ”Not on mine, only got 25% of any drink, that’s it.”
