MAFS UK fans have predicted a potential wife-swapping incident after not even completing the launch show episode.
E4 viewers tuned into the hit social experiment as they watched the first couple get hitched.
When recruitment consultant Sarah, 31, first appeared on the show, she confessed that she liked a guy with tattoos.
Personal Trainer Joe, 31 -who was practically covered with inkings – then appppeared on screen to attend the grooms stag party.
Fans immediately thought the contestants would make a potentially good couple together on Married At First Sight UK.
However, the experts instead matched Sarah with self-confessed ‘hopeless romantic Dean, 31, from Feltham.
Although the duo initially laughed at the altar, when it was Sarah’s time to film her confessionals, she admitted that she was not exactly feeling the match.
After their first glance, she said: “I’m so sorry, I don’t fancy him.”
Her bridesmaids also did not seem best pleased as one of Sarah’s friends remarked that Dean was not her ‘usual type’.
When he proceeded to then perform a self-written rap at the altar, which made her laugh at the time.
But away from the reception she once again made her feelings known to the producers.
Sarah told them: “Dean is such a lovely guy, but I’m going to be honest. I don’t want to rip his clothes off.”
During their photography session, Dean was keen to tell his new bride how he would romance her, by writing her poetry.
She remarked: “I don’t want Dean to write me a poem, sorry I don’t.”
Sarah was left horrified once again when Dean got behind the mic during the reception to serenade her, as she said she hated overly affectionate displays.
Immediately, droves of viewers took to social media as they predicted that Sarah would swap Dean for Joe further down the line.
Dean is such a lovely guy, but I’m going to be honest. I don’t want to rip his clothes off.
Sarah
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “Sadly I predict that Sarah will do the dirty on Dean with the tall tattooed guy.”
A second commented: “And how Sarah has said she fancies tattooed men and just said how she doesn’t fancy him. Her sister also said he’s not her type etc.”
“Sarah is dumping Dean for the tattooed PT at the first dinner party, I’m calling it,” stated a third Channel 4 viewer.
While a fourth claimed: “Absolutely inevitable. lets see if this woman #Sarah has a redemption arc. after having an affair with the tattooed guy of course.”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
Someone else thought: “So the narrative of this series will be nice guy Dean being screwed over by Sarah because she fancies the tattooed guy. Got it.”
And a sixth added: “So is the storyline that Sarah is going to ditch Dean for the tattooed guy.”
Married At First Sight UK continues on E4 and is available to stream back on Channel 4.
