Married At First Sight UK bride Rebecca Fenney has revealed she’s been living in “hell” behind the scenes of the E4 show.
Viewers saw her and Bailey Smith renew their vows and choose to stay together during the dramatic finale of the hit show last night, but it looks like not everything has been rosy.
The aesthetics nurse took to her Instagram stories on Wednesday to post a good luck note she’d received.
It read: “Good luck Bec! Keep your head held high and continue to show them all what a QUEEN you are. You’ve got this!”
She wrote alongside it: “What a crazy couple of weeks I’ve had. Thank goodness for the support.. my friends, my family, my MAFS angels, ily.
“SO much has been going on behind the scenes and I’ve been in some kind of hell to be honest.
“I’m not allowed to speak any further on the matter at the moment (it’s now a legal issue), but I’ve been quiet about it, just know I’ve been dealing with a lot (unrelated to MAFS) and that’s why.”
Rebecca signed off: “Thank you for the ongoing support. Love you all x.”
Rebecca poured her heart out to Bailey during their final vows on last night’s episode as she stood in her wedding dress.
As she got tearful, she gushed: “I think the heart knows when the search is over.
“My heart is telling me to stop looking. I have found the man I’ve been searching for.
“So as I said on our wedding day. To my husband, I say yes to you today, yes to tomorrow and yes to every day thereafter.”
Bailey, dressed in a smart beige suit, wiped tears from his eyes as his wife made her declaration.
He then said: “We have found that love that people do strive for.
“I would literally move heaven and earth to make this relationship work.”
Rebecca called the experiment “life-changing”, before they both walked off into the sunset for the next chapter of their lives.
As the adorable scenes aired, she took to her Instagram feed to share a picture of the pair sharing an embrace.
She simply wrote: “The experience that changed my life, forever…. I said yes.”
E4 viewers flocked to the comments section to share their well-wishes for the two as one penned: “The reason I’ve been a blubbering wreck in the last few episodes!
“Congrats to you both. Absolutely adore you both! May you continue to find love and strength in each other for every obstacle you face.
“Wishing you a lifetime of precious moments. I have faith you’re still together.”
Another person expressed: “You are beautiful inside and out and I’ve rooted for you both from the start.”
While a third added: “Sobbed all through – what a beautiful couple you are! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.”
It hasn’t been completely plain sailing for the pair as they struggled to navigate their long-distance relationship, with him being based in Brighton and her living in Liverpool.
With them repeatedly clashing on what their future on the outside would look like, Rebecca was keen to get an outside perspective from her mum.
Rebecca said: “We’ve got such an amazing relationship and now it’s like ‘you’ve got to live apart’, and it feels wild.”
“Bailey’s got responsibilities down there and you belong here.”
Thankfully the two managed to let their love do the talking and got past their conflicts on being in a long-distance relationship.
