M6 to be closed ‘for several hours’ after vehicles crashes off the motorway

A MAJOR motorway will be closed for several hours following a horror crash.

The M6 southbound remains closed between junction 19 (Knutsford) and junction 8 (Middlemarch) in Cheshire due to the collision.

National Highways said: “Traffic in the closure is being released past the scene in 1 lane.

“Collision investigation and vehicle recovery required.

“Expect road to be closed for several hours.”
