A MAJOR motorway has ground to a halt after a horror smash involving three vehicles – sparking huge delays.
Rush-hour commuters travelling on the M5 near Exeter, Devon, have been caught in queues of bumper-to-bumper traffic this morning.


Traffic monitoring site Inrix reported three vehicles had been involved involved in the crash, which occurred at around 8am.
It said: “M5 Northbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident.
“Three vehicles involved from J31 A38 (Okehampton turn off) to J30 A376 Sidmouth Road (Exeter / Service Areas).”
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed no injuries had been reported following the collision.
The force said: “Police were notified at around 8am to reports of a collision involving three vehicles on the Northbound carriageway on the M5.”
