M25 grinds to a halt after crash as drivers warned of two-mile queues

DRIVERS are stuck in two-mile long queues on the M25 after a crash.

The smash at Essex happened this morning and motorists have been warned of delays.

The incident is reported to have occurred just before J27 for the M11.

Details of the crash are yet to be established.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: “M25 clockwise exit slip road closed, queueing traffic due to accident before J27 M11.

“Congestion to J26 (Waltham Abbey), and onlookers opposite adding to delays back past J29 (Romford).”

Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information.
