A MAJOR UK motorway has been forced to close as cops investigate a horror smash involving a van and a car.
Motorists travelling on the M20 near Maidstone, Kent, have been diverted as the probe continues into last night’s crash.
National Highways said: “The M20 remains closed between J8–J9 while police carry out essential investigation work following last nights incident.
“Recovery teams and Traffic Officers remain on scene, and the road will reopen once it is safe to do so.
“Expect delays as the morning progresses.
