Luke Littler sends 17-word message after being snubbed for TWO SPOTY awards

LUKE LITTLER couldn’t hide his disappointment after missing out on Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The darts sensation, 18, has enjoyed a terrific year that saw him win a total of five major titles – including the World Darts Championship.

He was the youngest ever winner of darts’ most prestigious competition, but it wasn’t enough for either SPOTY award.

Littler didn’t even make the top three of the regular award as Rory McIlroy was crowned the winner, with England women’s rugby star Ellie Kildunne in second and Lando Norris third.

But he was also snubbed for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award as England Lionesses star Michelle Agyemang collected the gong.

Writing on Instagram, Littler said: “Thanks to everyone that voted for me tonight, appreciate it and for Young SPOTY wow fair enough.”
