LUKE LITTLER revealed he doesn’t expect to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award after a brilliant start in the World Darts Championship.
Littler, 18, returned to Ally Pally and eliminated Darius Labanauskas with a 3-0 win to kick off his £1million quest for glory.

The Nuke then had his post-match interview with Sky Sports host Emma Paton, who asked him about this year’s awards.
But the darts star is adamant it will be someone else who will be coming out on top.
Paton asked: “Before we welcome you back in ten days for round two, you’ve got something else that you need to win.
“It is the Sports Personality of the Year. You’re shaking your head, do you think you’ve got it in the bag?”
Littler disagreed and predicted it will be newly-crowned Formula One world champion Lando Norris who will be earning the award.
The teenage sensation responded: “No, I don’t think so. Err, I don’t think so.
“If I had to pick a winner, definitely Lando.”
Paton, though, disagreed with Littler‘s prediction and told him she has a strong feeling it will be him that will be winning the 2025 SPOTY award.
Paton replied: “You’re going with Lando? Well, I’m going with you. Alright, Luke?”
“So good luck with that, we’ll see you in ten days. Congratulations.”

Some big names have been nominated for the coveted SPOTY gong, which has been awarded annually since 1954.
Lionesses duo Hannah Hampton and Chloe Kelly, 25 and 27 respectively, have been nominated for the award.
The pair, of course, played crucial roles in Sarina Wiegman‘s side retaining the Uefa European Women’s Championship in the summer.
Ellie Kildunne, 26, is also up for the gong for her role in helping the Red Roses win the Women’s Rugby World Cup on home soil.
Rory McIlroy is also a nominee following an incredible 2025, in which the 36-year-old Northern Irishman finally got his hands on the coveted Green jacket at Augusta.
The list is rounded out by new F1 champ Norris, who won his maiden title in Abu Dhabi last weekend.
Littler, who was pictured kissing girlfriend Faith Millar on the opening night at Ally Pally, finished runner-up last year to Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson.
