LUKE HUMPHRIES reckons the Prince of Wales would love to go to the darts at Alexandra Palace.
Cool Hand Luke — who beat teen prodigy Luke Littler to win the 2024 PDC World Championship — picked up his MBE from William at Windsor Castle today.

Humphries earned the award for services to his sport, having also been world No 1 and won the darts Premier League back in May.
Asked about his chat with the Prince of Wales, the 30-year-old said: “We just talked about darts.
“He asked where is the best place to come to darts?
“I just told him Alexandra Palace — he, obviously, knows where it is and it’s the biggest tournament in the world.
“I think he’d probably love to come. If he could turn up and watch I’m sure he’d really enjoy it.
“Unfortunately it’s not as easy as that for him — but I’m sure he watches at home.”
Humphries, who described his MBE as the “biggest honour” of his career, added: “Since I have been involved in darts, I’ve brought a different crowd of people, a younger generation.
“Obviously, alongside Luke Littler as well, we’ve been the two big forces in darts over the last two to three years.

“We’ve changed the whole dynamic of the sport as well. A lot of people just look at it like a pub game, whereas now I think people are sort of seeing it for really what it is, and that’s a major sport.
“I think that that is the reason as to why we’ve both actually got one because it brought that new meaning to darts.”
Humphries will look to win his second world title when the World Darts Championship kicks off at Ally Pally tomorrow.
He will face Ted Evetts in the first round on Saturday in one of the late slots.
