2025 Summer – Toni Laites and Cach Mercer

On Monday Aug 4 2025, Love Island fans watched on as Toni Laites and Cach Mercer were crowned the latest in a long line of winners. 

The show’s first American bombshell Toni and dancer Cach got the most votes from fans after their rollercoaster journey on the show.

The couple dated, broke up, and rekindled their love all within one hot summer, but only time will tell whether they make the list of Love Island successes or not.

In the process they beat runners up Shakira Khan & Harry Cooksley as well as Angel Swift & Ty Isherwood to bag the full £50k.

2025 Winter All Stars – Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman

Series three star Gabby Allen, 33, and professional bombshell Casey O’Gorman, 28, won Love Island All Stars 2025.

The couple scooped the £50,000 prize, beating bookies’ favourites Grace Jackson and Luca Bish.

Gabby and Casey tried to make a go of things, with the Liverpool beauty even supporting her villa co-star at the London Marathon in April 2025.

But The Sun revealed they called time on their romance three months after winning Love Island‘s spin-off show All Stars.

They said in a joint statement: “After much thoughtful consideration, Gabby and Casey have decided to go their separate ways romantically.

“This decision was mutual, and they both remain on good terms as friends with a shared respect for each other.”

Relationship status: In May 2025, The Sun exclusively revealed they had split.

 

2024 summer  – Josh Oyinsan and Mimii Ngulube

Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan were crowned the winners of summer Love Island 2024 — meaning the reigning champions made history by becoming the first all-black couple to win the show.

The public fell in love with the pair and voted them to win the show, despite being the newest couple in the final episode.

Runners-up Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel were the favourites to win before the finale aired, but results of a massive poll showed nearly a third of Sun readers believed in Mimii and Josh’s victory.

The duo got together after Mimii went through a difficult time in the villa and was dumped by former partner Ayo Odukoya.

However, she soon picked herself back up when Josh made it clear that he was the one for her.

The loved-up pair celebrated winning the £50k grand prize with a big smooch before mental health nurse Mimii broke down in tears.

But they called time on their relationship just two months after being crowned champions, with Mimii saying: “The truth is we have been trying to figure it out since leaving the villa, but unfortunately things aren’t going to work out between us right now.”

Relationship status: The couple split in September 2024.

Jess Harding and Sammy Root won the summer 2023 Love Island. Sammy and Jess made it to the final, beating the bookies’ favourites Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki.

The couple’s win came as a huge shock, even to them, after they were voted the least compatible pair in the villa by their fellow islanders.

Addressing their ups and downs, Jess told host Maya Jama: “I feel like the road I have been on is so unexpected, but we’re here now.

“When we got voted least compatible couple, I feel like that was a kick in the teeth, I knew what we had was special.”

Relationship status: In October 2023, it was revealed that the couple had split up.

The first series of 2023 saw Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan crowned Love Island winners in South Africa.

After host Maya revealed the result of the public vote, the emotional couple couldn’t believe their luck as they shared a sweet embrace.

Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins came behind the duo in second place.

Speaking about his first impressions of SanamKai told Maya during the finale: “Literally she blew me away straight away.”

While Sanam added: “For me, it was always Kai. I always said he was my number one.”

In April 2024, the couple shared the glorious news that they are engaged to be married, and the wedding is fast approaching with Kai sharing videos from his Stag Do in August 2025.

Relationship status: Still together.

Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s time in the villa was anything but a smooth ride, but they managed to win the public’s hearts – and the ITV2 reality show.

The pair were crowned champs and took how the £50K.

Ekin said: “It feels so surreal finding the man of your dreams and just growing.”

On what she liked most about Davide, she added: “Apart from the perfect body, I would definitely say there was an instant spark and a genuine butterfly feeling.”

She summed up their relationship as “absolutely bonkers”.

Relationship status: The couple had a very on-off relationship and finally called time on their romance for good in June 2023.

2021 – Liam Reardon and Millie Court

The couple were hot favourites leading into the final despite their relationship being on the rocks throughout the entirety of series 7.

But they turned things around towards the final week, just in time to be announced winners of Love Island 2021.

Liam’s head was turned in Casa Amor when bombshell Lillie Haynes entered the villa – however after pleading with her on countless occasions, Millie decided to stay loyal with her man.

The couple announced they had split in July 2022, less than a year after winning the show, breaking hearts across the nation.

However, fans remained hopeful that their love could rekindle after countless Instagram posts of them together after the break up. 

And in April 2023 the couple confirmed they were back together and ever since have gushed over how much they mean to each other. It’s an exhausting love affair but a testament to the power of the show!

Relationship status: The couple announced they were back together in April 2o23.

2020 – Paige Turley and Finn Tapp

The couple were announced as the winners of 2020 after falling in love on the show.

The pair beat runners-up Luke Trotman and Siânnise Fudge to win the show.

The pair stuck together throughout the show and didn’t have their heads turned once.

Relationship status: Sadly after over three years together, the couple split in April 2023.

2019 – Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill

The professional rugby player and the beauty therapist were crowned the winners of series five choosing to split the £50,000 prize.

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague were the runners up followed by third place Ovie Soko and India Reynolds, and Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins in fourth place.

Relationship status: Unfortunately the couple split via text just five weeks after receiving the prize.

The couple won Love Island 2018 – as well as the hearts of the public.

But despite seeming to be the perfect match they called off their union in April 2019.

Relationship status: Jack revealed he and Dani had split just months after rekindling their relationship.

2017 – Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies

Kem and Amber had lots of ups and downs in the villa but went on to win the show.

Since winning Love Island have both earned a fortune.

Amber headed to the West End to star in musical 9 to 5, while Kem has turned to TV presenting.

Relationship status: Kem and Amber split after just 132 days of dating after a string of rows – despite saying they might get married.

2016 – Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde

The winners from 2016 had a brief seven month split in 2017 but reunited a few weeks before Cara was due to give birth.

They welcomed their first child Freddie-George in December 2017 followed by daughter Delilah in 2020.

Relationship status: The couple are married.

2015 – Jessica Hayes and Max Morley

Despite poor Jess being Max’s second choice on the show, they did win – but they didn’t last as a couple.

He bounced back quickly and started dating then Miss Great Britain – 2016’s Zara Holland.

Max also had an on-off romance with 2018 runner-up Laura Anderson.

Relationship status: The first winners of the reboot of the show split just six weeks after leaving the villa.

Who has won Celebrity Love Island?

2005 – Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave

During the celebrity version of Love Island, Fran Cosgrave stayed away from most of the drama but entertained audiences with his easy-going nature.

He went on to win the show with Jayne Middlemiss They didn’t stay together after the show as they were put together by the public.

2006 – Bianca Gascoigne and Calum Best

Again these two were voted together by the public.

They did a few public appearances after the show, but the reality TV veterans didn’t stay together.

Calum and Bianca were reunited when they both appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
