The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has not exactly been covering itself in glory lately.
From not assisting federal immigration officers when they came under assault during enforcement raids. LA County Sheriff Robert Luna has been accused of having his deputies slow walk assistance to federal officers who were attacked during an immigration protest at a federal building earlier this month, long after the federal officers called for help.
…As the situation escalated, the crowd of protesters became increasingly agitated, throwing objects and exhibiting violent behavior toward federal agents and deputy sheriffs. In response, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) requested additional resources countywide, deploying additional deputies to maintain order.
“We will protect your right to peacefully protest, but we will not tolerate violence or destruction of property,” said Sheriff Robert Luna. “I urge the community to approach the situation peacefully, as we do not want anyone to be harmed.”
Still, the Trump administration has been critical of the LAPD, in particular.
A Department of Homeland Security press release Saturday said it took the department “two hours to respond” to a protest near a federal enforcement building, alleging those demonstrators “assaulted ICE law enforcement officers, slashed tires (and) defaced buildings and taxpayer-funded property.”

We’re just here to maintain order, Sheriff Luna sort of explained afterward. But we will help if we have to…dang it.
TRY NOT TO MAKE US HAVE TO
Unfortunately for Sheriff Luna, no matter how his deputies try to explain to angry residents that federal officers can go anywhere in the country by virtue of ‘federal’…
This Sheriff’s Deputy in LA is asked about whether they’re working with ICE and he said no they’re a different agency. Then he was told what they were doing to immigrants like detaining immigrants without warrants or due Process and he says that’s F’ed up! Most sane people know.😡 pic.twitter.com/2kQd6vdqjJ

…it’s not saving them from getting their asses kicked up and down the streets of the city by the very people they’re working so hard to excuse, protect from ICE, and cover for.
That has to hurt.
LA County sheriff says they’ve been attacked with sledge hammers, bricks, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks.
And not a single one of those animals physically attacking law enforcement is a republican or a conservative or pro-ICE.
Pretty astounding. Dems should take some time… pic.twitter.com/X6o5Z7wdWI

…Dems should take some time and reflect on that.
In order to reflect, though, one has to be capable of reasoned thought processes, and it appears those have passed the hierarchy of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department right by.
They are so woke, so in tune with their radical community, that this is what the official LA Sheriff Department social media account Xweeted as word of the United States bombing Iran’s nuclear sites broke.
The LA County Sheriff’s office just deleted this tweet calling the U.S. strikes on the Iranian regime’s nuclear facilities a “tragic event” and saying that “our hearts go out to the victims and families impacted by the recent bombings in Iran.” pic.twitter.com/xnq2u8NDnY

OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO THE VICTIMS AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY THE RECENT BOMBINGS IN IRAN
WHILE THIS TRAGIC EVENT OCCURRED OVERSEAS, the woke, unAmerican bozos at your LASD are busy emoting with many virtue-signaling crocodile tears
I mean, what’s next for them?
Well, what was next was a hasty withdrawal, like there was a foaming mad mob waving Mexican flags and flinging fireworks coming after them.
They deleted that sucker, stat, and issued a less inflammatory ‘we’re monitoring the situation’ one.
Every last Angeleno is ever so grateful for their vigilance, I’m sure.
And, as every good proggy organization does when caught and pilloried, they are ‘launching an investigation’ to determine just how this unfortunate incident happened.
This doesn’t reflect us or ‘our values’ at all.
…“This post was unacceptable, made in error, and does not reflect the views of Sheriff Robert G. Luna or the Department,” officials said. “As a law enforcement agency, we do not comment on foreign policy or military matters. Our mission remains solely focused on protecting public safety and serving our diverse communities.
Because they honestly have no idea how something so offensive wound up published, and we all fell off the cabbage truck yesterday.
