LORRAINE Kelly has been replaced on her ITV show with a much-loved This Morning anchor.
It came after the Scottish host had been battling a bad throat all week.
Yet on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, Ben Shephard, 51, revealed he would be in the hot seat.
In the preview for the Lorraine show, the This Morning presenter was seen in the studio ready for the half-hour episode.
As GMB anchor Kate Garraway asked her best pal Ben – who used to front GMB alongside her – what he was doing in the Lorraine studio, he explained Lorraine had taken a turn for the worse overnight.
He said: “Her voice finally collapsed last night, and she couldn’t say anything”.
Ben then joked how Lorraine’s husband Steve was making the most of the quiet.
She had been croaky through the week, with the show’s resident doctor, Dr Amir, offering her advice.
Ben fronts This Morning from 10am until 1230pm every Monday to Thursday, so it appears he will have a longer working day today.
