Lola Young has shared her first Instagram post since taking a career break almost three months ago, revealing her ‘head is in a better place’.

The south London singer, 24, announced in September she had to cancel her remaining tour dates to take a break days after sparking concern by collapsing on stage at a New York gig.

Now, the musician has returned to her social media account with an emotional message, thanking fans and loved ones for giving her the ‘time and space to gather myself’.

In the candid post, Lola wrote: ‘Hey, I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place. 

‘I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.

‘I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams. Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026.

‘Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well.

During the accident, which took place in September, the English star was ‘carried off stage’ by staff during her performance at a festival in New York, but eventually reassured fans that she was fine.

Afterwards, Lola shared the sad news with her followers that she would be ‘going away for a while’ to ‘work on herself,’ adding that she would be cancelling her tour shows for the ‘foreseeable future’.

The Messy hitmaker was due to fly to the UK for a show in Manchester on October 6 at the time, followed by dates in Birmingham and London.

In a post on Instagram, Lola wrote: ‘I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future.

‘Thank you for all the love and support.

‘I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know.

‘I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.

‘I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.’
