GRAMMY nominees Lola Young, Olivia Dean, and Alex Young opened the 68th annual awards show with buzz-worthy performances.
The Messy singer brought fellow artists to tears, while the Ordinary hitmaker was hit with serious technical difficulties that threatened to derail his song.
During the Best New Artist performance medley at the Grammy Awards, Lola, 25, took her seat behind a piano to perform a stripped down version of her hit single Messy.
She blew viewers away with her vocals, leaving audience members, including Bad Bunny, in tears.
Even fans at home were crying over the impactful performance.
“Tears in my eyes i love you lola young,” one person posted on X.
“Lola young, sing babyyyy im in tears shes amazing,” a second gushed.
A third Grammys viewer wrote: “Seeing Bad Bunny cry during Lola Young’s comeback has me in tears.”
“That Lola Young performance literally bringing tears to my eyes. I love this generational talent so much. She means so much to me,” another supporter posted online.
Olivia Dean followed her up, taking the stage in a stunning red minidress.

The audience was brought to their feet as she sang and danced on stage.
She won Best New Artist shortly thereafter.
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
Alex also got a moment to shine, delivering a theatrical performance of his hit song Ordinary.
The performance was plagued with technical issues, however, and fans took notice.
He managed to persevere, continuing the show despite the challenges, but that didn’t stop the online chatter.
During his performance, Alex walked through the crowd toward the stage, where he hopped on a rising disc that lifted him high into the air.
SINGERS WITH MOST AWARDS IN GRAMMYS HISTORY
While legendary composers like Sir Georg Solti boast eye-popping Grammy totals, 31 trophies and counting, vocalists face a much tougher climb. When it comes to singers, only a rare few have managed to stack up serious Grammy hardware. Here are the Top 10 singers with the most Grammy wins:
Beyoncé – 35
Alison Krauss – 27
Stevie Wonder – 25
Jay-Z – 24
Aretha Franklin – 18
Alicia Keys – 17
Adele – 16
Taylor Swift – 14
Lady Gaga – 13
Billie Eilish – 9
It appeared, however, that he was handed his microphone too late, and struggled with sound issues throughout.
While fans noticed that Alex appeared frustrated, they applauded him for continuing.
“Alex Warren – you’re a star and pulled through. Don’t let that tech issue get you down!” one supporter posted on X.
Another wrote: “Alex Warren visibly bothered. He was [off] tempo on his own song. He was handed the mic too late and was having tech sound issues ouch!”
“Okay Alex Warren was obviously having tech difficulties, but once he got that earpiece in he ateeee!!” a third fan wrote.
BIG WINNER
Best New Artist was handed out shortly after the string of performances.
Chappell Roan, who herself is nominated for several awards during Sunday’s show, presented.
She stole the show on the red carpet with a sheer ensemble held up by nipple rings, but changed before giving out the award.
Olivia was announced the winner, and was thrilled to accept.
