Liverpool have secured a mega £10million fee from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold to join them early.
The right-back has agreed to a six-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu and it will begin on Sunday when the transfer window officially opens. Both clubs have confirmed the move.
Mail Sport revealed in March that Real wanted the right back early to play in the Club World Cup.
Their initial offer was £850,000 to get him ahead of his contract expiring at the end of June.
But despite already playing his last game for Liverpool and effectively being on holiday now, the Premier League champions will get £10m.
Real kick off their Club World Cup campaign on June 18 and Alexander-Arnold will be officially unveiled as their player before that.

The homegrown legend will leave a month before the end of his deal for the Club World Cup

Alexander-Arnold has already updated his Instagram bio to include Real Madrid’s name
Xabi Alonso, who has been confirmed as Carlo Ancelotti’s successor on a three-year deal, wanted Alexander-Arnold through the door early.
This Club World Cup means more than most as it is the first in the revamped format with 32 teams.
Alexander-Arnold has already updated his Instagram bio to include Real Madrid and he shared a post from the club welcoming him.
He has enjoyed a wholesome goodbye to the club he has served for 20 years, despite facing boos and criticism in recent times.
He called the Premier League trophy parade around Liverpool the ‘perfect send-off’ and looked emotional as he held the silverware high on top of the bus.
‘Perfect send off. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I love my city,’ he wrote.
He was given also given a warm reception at Anfield on Sunday and described celbrating the title in front of fans as the ‘best day of his life’. He was overcome with tears at full time after their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
Supporters welcomed him with widespread cheer and applause as he replaced Conor Bradley at half-time and gave him similar adoration as he did a lap of the crowd at the finale.

Alexander-Arnold cut an emotional figure at Anfield after playing his final game for the club
Alexander-Arnold struggled to hold back the tears as he spoke to Sky Sports and the floodgates opened as he embraced his mum Dianne and dad Michael, with his brothers joining them on the pitch.
‘I didn’t know what to expect stepping out at Anfield today after what had happened,’ he admitted.
‘But I wanted to play for the club one more time, I told the manager, and he trusted me. The reception I got means so much to me. I have never felt more loved and more cared for than today.
‘I hope that one day the fans and supporters of this club are able to recognise the hard work I put in for this team.
‘From six to 26, 20 years is a very long time. I have loved every second of it, it has been an honour and a privilege to be a part of this club.
‘I’ll remember these moments for the rest of my life. This day will go down as the best in my life.’
It looked as if Alexander-Arnold would exit Anfield under a cloud after he was booed by fans during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal earlier this month.
Boos rang around the ground as the Englishman made his way onto the pitch before chants of ‘there’s only one Conor Bradley’ broke out.

Real Madrid have announced that Alexander-Arnold, 26, will join them on a six-year deal

Alexander-Arnold could opt to follow Bellingham and live in La Finca, which is known as Madrid’s Beverly Hills

The gated VIP neighbourhood promises an exclusive combination of luxury and security
He also cut a despondent figure at full time against Brighton, when fans were partying in the away end despite the 3-2 defeat.
But a rousing speech last week by Jurgen Klopp – who watched from the stands like a proud father on Sunday – appears to have swung the mood.
The England star will link up with his good friend Jude Bellingham in the Spanish capital.
If he turns to Bellingham for advice, Alexander-Arnold could find himself living in what has been dubbed as the ‘Beverly Hills’ of Madrid.
Bellingham has been staying in a £5.5m property in the gated VIP bunker neighbourhood of La Finca – The Ranch – since signing for Los Blancos in June 2023.
The gated VIP neighbourhood is located a 15-minute drive north west of the city centre in the upper-class suburb of Pozuelo de Alarcon where the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo still owns a mansion.
Bellingham is understood to have been renting there and sharing with his mum who aids him in the handling of his schedule and other affairs.
The England midfielder’s home reportedly has six-bedrooms, a home theatre, as well as a sauna, gym and pool in the garden.

Alexander-Arnold would join a host of Real Madrid stars to have called La Finca home, with club legends Iker Casillas, Raul and Zinedine Zidane having resided there during their spells at the club.
More recently, the likes of Eden Hazard and Toni Kroos are among those to have called the neighbourhood home.
One of La Finca’s most recent residents is another of Real Madrid’s marquee free transfers, with Kylian Mbappe reported to have paid €10.5m (£8.8m) to buy a luxury mansion formerly owned by Gareth Bale.
Stars have tended to reside in either Los Lagos I or II, named after the artificial lakes created in the complex, with the former featuring the larger properties.
An alternative location for Alexander-Arnold could be the La Moraleja neighbourhood, which is located close to Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground.
David and Victoria Beckham bought a home in La Moraleja in June 2005 for £3m after the former England captain joined Real Madrid. They sold it to a wealthy Spanish entrepreneur for £4.2m nearly ten years later and eight years after they moved out.
Vinicius Jr and Luka Modric are among the more recent Real Madrid stars to have opted to live in the La Moraleja neighbourhood. La Moraleja has long been one of the favourite residences for star footballers and other major names in Spain.
