The new bars come as Lindt & Sprüngli revealed research showing that over half of Brits (55%) reach for chocolate after a main meal.

42 per cent said they enjoy chocolate more than any other dessert, and half said their favourite time to eat it is between 5pm and 9pm.

Stefan Bruderer, Master Chocolatier at Lindt & Sprüngli, said: “Our research revealed 40 per cent of the UK prefer unique tastes and textures in their chocolate, and we know chocolate is a firm favourite when it comes to a little post-meal indulgence.

“We pride ourselves on delivering the best quality and taste with our iconic Swiss chocolate, so we’re excited to expand our Les Grandes and Creation lines to truly elevate that experience.”

Lindt & Sprüngli, founded in 1845 in Zurich, Switzerland, is headquartered in Kilchberg, Switzerland.

The brand is a staple in the UK’s premium chocolate market, competing with Green & Black’s and Hotel Chocolat.

Lindt’s iconic Gold Bunny and festive ranges regularly rank among the UK’s best-selling seasonal treats, especially at Easter and Christmas.
