Catwalk duties took a backseat as Lila Moss let her hair down at London Fashion Week on Monday evening – beneath the watchful eye of her father, Jefferson Hack.

The young model made a rare public appearance with Hack as British heritage brand Burberry unveiled its latest collection at Perks Field in Kensington Gardens.

Lila, 22 – Hack’s only child with notably absent catwalk legend Kate Moss – inevitably commanded attention in a distinctive cropped trench and plaid dress as they settled into their front row seats.

The model rounded off her look with sheer black tights and slingback heels adorned with Burberry’s signature plaid design.

Silver-haired Hack, 54, the co-founder, editorial director and CEO of publishing group Dazed Media, ensured he claimed his own share of the spotlight in smart tailored pin-stripes and polished leather dress shoes.

With the night still young, Lila soon parted ways with her father and made her way to Marylebone, where Burberry were hosting an after-party at celebrity nightspot Chiltern Firehouse.

On a chilly night in the English capital, she draped herself in a heavy wool blanket from the heritage brand as she made her way inside the venue with a group of friends.

The model was letting her hair down after taking to the catwalk on the opening day of London Fashion Week for Swedish high street retailer H&M.

Lila was among 70 models recruited to unveil the accessible brand’s new collection in front on 700 guests as the bi-annual event’s first day of presentations drew to a close.

Being a household name, perhaps it was to be expected H&M would call on equally familiar ones to model its new autumn/winter collection, with Lila joined by Romeo Beckham and Iris Law – the model daughter of Jude Law and Sadie Frost.

Lila’s appearance at this latest series of presentations comes after she fronted a new campaign for Barbie’s first-ever ‘diabetic doll’.

The doll features a continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump, which Lila – who lives with type 2 diabetes – has spoken about using in the past.

Barbie manufacturer Mattel says it made the first Barbie with type 1 diabetes (T1D) so more children could see themselves reflected in its range of dolls.

Lila previously discussed her condition during a segment on Vogue’s In The Bag YouTube channel after making the unconventional decision to wear the monitor on the catwalk.

She said: ‘I have some sugar tablets, in case my blood sugar goes low. I’m diabetic, so I have this, which controls a pod on my leg, which gives me insulin.

‘This is very important to keep in my bag, it comes with me everywhere.’

The star – worried her essential device could get lost – added: ‘I even have an Apple AirTag to follow it around with my phone.’

Speaking about her condition in 2020, she told The Kit: ‘I think not many people know that I have diabetes. It’s not visible from the outside, so no one would really know just by looking at you.’
