BARGAIN supermarket Lidl is once again taking on the big brands with a new gadget that could save shoppers a fortune.
The discount chain is rolling out its Parkside Pressure Washer next week and at just £59.99, it comes in a massive £240 cheaper than a similar machine from cleaning giant Karcher.
The tool, which is almost identical in design and power to the pricey branded version, hits shelves on Sunday, August 24 as part of the store’s ever-popular “Middle of Lidl” promotion.
Just like the original, the washer blasts water out at high speed, making light work of shifting stubborn dirt from patios, garden furniture and even the wheels of cars.
With spring just around the corner, it is tipped to be a big hit for households eager to spruce up their outdoor spaces.
Karcher’s own high pressure washer currently costs £299.99 on its website, though it can retail for as much as £399.99 depending on the model.
That makes Lidl’s version a huge saving and a serious rival.
The supermarket has built a reputation for launching “dupes” of household favourites at a fraction of the price.
Its Middle of Lidl events, which run every Thursday and Sunday, bring in limited-edition products that are only available while stocks last.
Once the Parkside Pressure Washer lands, shoppers will need to move quickly as with most Middle of Lidl specials, when it’s gone, it’s gone.
For those keen to cut costs further, Lidl has a number of insider tips.
The chain reduces products early in the day, with the best yellow-sticker bargains spotted between 7am and 8am when most stores open.
Items like cooked meats, salmon fillets and fresh bread can be slashed by 30% or more.
The retailer also offers its Lidl Plus app, a free loyalty scheme giving users discounts on everyday groceries and household items.
On top of that, shoppers can check the “Pick of the Week” section online to see which fruit, veg and meat products will be discounted every Thursday.
And, of course, the Middle of Lidl aisle remains a treasure trove of unexpected finds, from DIY kit to kitchen appliances, all at bargain prices.
With the Parkside Pressure Washer landing next Thursday, Lidl has once again thrown down the gauntlet to the big-name brands.
At £59.99, it’s less than half the cost of the Karcher equivalent, yet promises to deliver the same results.
For shoppers looking to get gardens gleaming for spring without breaking the bank, this could be the must-have gadget of the season. But with limited stock, it’s set to be a race to the aisles.
