The Livarno Home Double TopCool Duvet has landed in Lidl stores just in time for the heatwave, and it’s a total game-changer for sweaty summer nights.
Designed to keep you cool and comfy, the ultra-light duvet features a micro-fine cover that cleverly regulates moisture and body temperature.
It’s ideal for double beds, with a soft and fluffy polyester filling that still feels cosy without the stifling heat.
It’s also machine washable at 60°C and perfect for spring and summer snoozing.
And best of all, unlike noisy fans or pricey air cons, it costs nothing to run.
The duvet retails for £10.99 and is only available in Lidl stores.

Price check
The £10.99 price tag makes it one of the cheapest cooling duvets on the market right now.
On Amazon, a similar “Cooling Blanket for Night Sweats” also costs £10.99 – but there’s a catch.
Delivery will set you back another £6.99, bringing the total to £17.98.
John Lewis is selling a Snuggledown Cooling Blanket and Pillowcase set for £18, but again – that’s online only, and more expensive.
The Fogarty Temperature Regulating Wool All Seasons Duvet, now £56 , down from £70, is ideal for keeping cool during muggy nights.
However, it is much more expensive than Lidl’s offer.
It’s always worth comparing prices across stores to make sure you’re getting the best value for money.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
More ways to beat the heat
Lidl’s duvet isn’t the only sizzling summer bargain doing the rounds.
Home Bargains is currently selling a Pifco Cordless Neck Fan for just £4.99 – a total steal compared to pricier versions at John Lewis and Dunelm.
The fan has been flying off shelves, with one model, the Pifco Hands Free Wearable Fan, already sold out online in both black and white.

As the UK braces for temperatures up to 33°C, shoppers are scrambling for ways to stay cool without breaking the bank.
Over at B&Q, a fan costing under £50 is getting rave reviews from customers who say it’s “so quiet you can barely hear it” – perfect for light sleepers.
Meanwhile, Dunelm is selling a colourful Mini Handheld Fan for just £1.50, and has slashed 20% off its temperature-regulating duvets.
With the heat ramping up and cooling products flying off shelves, now’s the time to grab a bargain before they’re all gone.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
