Much has been made, and rightly so, of Tyler Robinson’s relationship with his transgender partner. It would be more than a little surprising if Charlie Kirk’s assassination during a discussion on transgender violence was unrelated to Tyler’s partner being transgender.
But as Charlie Kirk would tell you himself, thinking you are transgender does not make you a bad person; being a bad person makes you a bad person. Charlie was a strong opponent of the alphabet movement, but was very kind to individual transgender people struggling with their identity. As hard as it is to distinguish the people a movement claims to represent and those people, we must.
For those liberals who say that Charlie Kirk was hateful to transgender people, explain yourselves. Most of you have literally never heard him, and are just parroting what main stream media talking heads have told you about him.

Tyler’s “partner” has reportedly been very cooperative with the authorities and helped them put the case against Robinson together. He is reportedly again appalled and devastated by his boyfriend’s actions, and as a young person, he has a long life ahead to reflect on his identity. He deserves kudos and support, not hostility. Charlie wanted to help people in the grip of this movement, not demonize them.
It is the alphabet mafia, not the people they claim to represent, who are our adversaries. We are trying to save the victims.
Transgender radicals murdered Charlie Kirk because he wouldn’t accept their delusional version of reality.

Even more impressively, Tyler’s family played a bigger role in the apprehension of Robinson.
I can imagine no more gut-wrenching choice than to turn your own son in to the police and have him face the consequences of such a horrible act.
Can you imagine facing something like that? Not only would you be losing a son, but have to play a part in bringing it about. It was the right thing to do, of course, but hardly the easy one.
It’s early days, and no doubt there are associates of Robinson who have behaved in less principled ways or worse, but Charlie wouldn’t want us to only notice the bad behavior, but also applaud those who fulfill their duty to God and society.
The FBI and police are justified in investigating Robinson’s associates. There are hints that Robinson had online connections with radicals and may have been meeting with some to plan the assassination. Several trans activists posted about something bad happening to Charlie Kirk on September 10th. But we really don’t know much beyond that.
Assuming that transgender issues did play the role we all believe they did in motivating this assassination, we still have to distinguish between those who planned and cheered the murder, and those who were disgusted by it and rallied around the victim and are trying to help.
NEW: In December 2024, Lance Twiggs—the transgender roommate of Charlie Kirk’s shooter—changed his Steam name from “Lance” to “Luna.”

Again, that includes Tyler’s boyfriend, who may be in the grips of a movement that has caused enormous damage to young people, including himself, but who found the moral courage in the midst of what is likely the worst moment of his life to help solve this horrific crime committed by somebody with whom he was close.
We have to see light where it exists, even when things seem darkest. Our righteous anger at evildoers should be balanced by a recognition that justice requires us to applaud the good where we see it.
We should remember that people like Tyler’s boyfriend are victims of that ideology. If such victims do terrible things, it is right to blame them and the ideology, but if they step up and do the right thing, we should welcome them into the light. Just because somebody commits a horrible act in their name doesn’t make them guilty.
If a transgender person promotes violence and hate, then they deserve the scorn they are getting. However, if they, when faced with challenging circumstances, exhibit civilized behavior, they should be applauded and commended for their actions. It is not transgender individuals who are evil, but the movement.
I know all the counterarguments. I just believe that when people act with grace, especially under the worst circumstances, we should thank them.
