LAURA WOODS has addressed a statement to her concerned fans after the presenter collapsed live on air on Tuesday.
Woods, 38, was covering the Lionesses’ game against Ghana on ITV4 when she suddenly fainted.
Woods, who became a new mum to baby Leo in January, gave an update in a statement to her Instagram account.
The popular presenter was unnecessarily apologetic, but fans will be happy to know that she is okay and recovering well.
She said: “Gosh that was a bit weird.
“Sorry to worry everyone, I’m Ok, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a virus, just need a bit of rest and rehydration.
“I’m really embarrassed that happened on TV, but a big thankyou to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight.
“And to Wrighty and Neets for catching me, and sorry again x.”
Woods was listening to co-host Ian Wright give his verdict on the upcoming match between England Women and Ghana when she suddenly lurched forward.
Her co-hosts attempted to catch her before she fell to the ground.
The cameras then cut away to a wide shot of the stadium, before ITV went to an ad break.
When the broadcast returned, Woods had been replaced by fellow presenter Katie Shanahan.
She addressed the distressing scenes, saying: “As you might have noticed, we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods.
“She has just been taken ill and is in very good hands.
“We want to assure you that she is doing ok. We all send her our love.”
Woods’ fiance Adam Collard also released a statement following concern from fans, confirming that the beloved TNT Sports star was alright.
He said: “Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.”
