FORMULA ONE star Lance Stroll has been hit with a further penalty days after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Aston Martin star Stroll claimed a tenth-place finish in last Sunday’s F1 season finale, which saw Lando Norris crowned world drivers’ champion ahead of Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.

Stroll, 27, had finished ninth on the road before he was hit with a five-second penalty for changing direction more than once while defending from Williams’ Carlos Sainz.
With the time added on to his original classification he was dropped to tenth, but the top ten finish ended a run of eight races without a point.
However, days later the FIA have now confirmed an additional punishment for the Canadian driver, who made his F1 debut in 2018.
Following review, Stroll was judged to have defended too aggressively against Sainz and has been slapped with a penalty point on his superlicence.
Under FIA rules, drivers are allowed to collect up to 12 points on their licence over a rolling 12-month period before they are hit with a race ban.
Stroll’s latest point puts him on six points over the last 12 months, and he will need to wait until May 2026 for any more points to expire from his record.
The stewards statement said: “The Stewards reviewed video and in-car video evidence.
“Car 18 made multiple moves in defending against Car 55 on the straight before turn 9. This is a breach of the regulations.”

Stroll finished 16th in the overall standings for the season after collecting 33 points, the same as Yuki Tsunoda, who was brutally axed by Red Bull and is now without an F1 seat for next season.
Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson has the same number of penalty points as Stroll, while Tsunoda (eight) and British Haas star Ollie Bearman (ten) are the only drivers with more penalty points than Stroll.
It is a particularly alarming figure for Bearman considering the season just gone was his first full season in F1.
Like Stroll, he will need to wait until May to see any points taken off his record, meaning he is perilously close to a race ban early next season.
