AIDAN O’BRIEN’S No2 Lambourn stunned his big hope Delacroix to land the Derby.
The 13-2 chance hit the front and was never for catching under loyal jockey Wayne Lordan.
Ryan Moore never really got into it on red-hot favourite Delacroix.
And, for once, the world’s best jockey had to play second best to Lordan – who he beat into second in the Oaks.
There was a huge result for syndicate Middleham Park as their 50-1 Lazy Griff came second.
While Aidan’s son Joseph was third with 28-1 Tennessee Stud.
Juddmonte had the fourth home with 50-1 New Ground.
