A CRAZED knifeman has gone on a stabbing rampage before barricading himself inside a church in a Brit holiday hotspot.
The shirtless 59-year-old wielded two blades as he attacked a 60-year-old man and was only stopped when police tasered him to the ground.
The horror spree sent Spanish cops on a wild manhunt through Marbella on Tuesday.
Reports of a half naked man running around Calle Serenata armed with two large knives were made at around 3:30pm.
He had used one of the weapons to stab an older man in the abdomen, police said.
In an attempt to flee the scene, he cowered away inside the nearby Divina Pastora church which sat less than a kilometre away from his victim.
He is believed to be a regular member of the congregation at the place of worship, according to local media.
Officers from the Policia Nacional soon found the attacker as they tried to break in to the church.
Around this time, the parish priest had discovered the frantic knifeman inside and attempted to console him.
It did little good as at one point it is believed the man tried to stab himself in the stomach.
Police officers then arrived to subdue him with tasers before arresting him.
He had suffered no injuries and was immediately marched down to the nearest police station to be interviewed.
Cops say only one knife was found on him in the church.
The cleric told the Diario Sur newspaper that the man had no record of violence.
Some worried residents did claim to have seen him roaming the streets a few days earlier armed with what looked like a pocket-knife.
The condition of the victim who was attacked is not known.
It comes as a teen alleged she was slashed with a glass bottle on her family holiday in Benidorm.

The 29-year-old was found dead after she had a heated argument at her apartment in Milan.
Gianluca Soncin, 52, is accused of killing her just before cops rushed in to the scene.
Soncin then turned the gun on himself and wounded his throat, local media outlets report.
