Kirsten Dunst was spotted enjoying a smoke break outside a cafe in Los Angeles on Monday.
The Interview with the Vampire star, 43, cut a casual figure as she puffed on a cigarette while out with a friend.
The actress — who revealed that her son had a terrifying health scare in a candid new interview on Wednesday — sported a striped button-up blouse tucked into a pair of dark jeans with a black belt.
Her casually chic look was completed with white sandals and a pair of black sunglasses.
The Academy Award nominee wore her shoulder-length blonde hair down and parted on the side.
It comes after the indie cinema icon — who’s worked with influential directors like Sofia Coppola and Lars von Trier — expressed her desire to make a movie where she ‘doesn’t lose money.’

Dunst even floated the idea of her joining the cast of Minecraft 2, after A Minecraft Movie — based on the popular video game — dominated the box office with $955 million worldwide.
‘Maybe I can just make a movie where I don’t lose money?’ she told Town & Country in an interview published on Wednesday.
A film like Minecraft 2 would be quite a departure for the star, who has usually opted for arthouse favorites over mainstream films.
Even as an Oscar-nominated actress who has starred in countless mainstream movies, she remains beloved by fans for her work in indie films like The Virgin Suicides (1999) and Melancholia (2011).
However, Dunst’s successful career does include more commercial roles like The Spider-Man Trilogy (2002-2007), Bring It On (2000) and Jumanji (1995).
Elsewhere in the new interview Dunst revealed that her young son James had a ‘frightening’ health scare while she was filming in Budapest earlier this year.
The actress, who shares James, four, and Ennis, seven, with husband Jesse Plemons, 37, moved abroad for six months with her family to film The Entertainment System is Down – but ‘very quickly’ her youngest child became seriously ill.
Dunst told Town & Country the terrifying time was like ‘Final Destination, where you’re imagining all the things that could go wrong, worst case scenarios happening to your child.
‘I have never seen that movie. But I know the concept. That’s how it feels to be a mother at times.’
