KFC has brought back a much-loved favourite for foodies to enjoy once again.
The fan-favourite burger, often dubbed KFC’s “dirtiest” creation, will be back on menus nationwide, but only for a limited six-week run.
From September 1 until October 12, fried chicken lovers will be able to tuck into the indulgent Dirty Louisiana Burger alongside the equally hyped Dirty Loaded Fries.
The Dirty Louisiana Burger is packed with KFC’s Original Recipe fillet, melted cheese, a golden hash brown, lettuce and gherkins.
It’s smothered with a trio of sauces – Supercharger Mayo, Smokey BBQ and Black Pepper Mayo – all stacked inside a toasted brioche-style bun.
The towering burger costs £7.99 and has previously been hailed by fans as one of the chain’s most indulgent creations.
The burger first launched in 2017 and was later brought back in April this year before disappearing again, but due to popular demand the fast food chain has brought it back once again.
Not stopping there, the Dirty Loaded Fries are also back for £3.99.
The side dish quickly became a smash hit when it first appeared on menus earlier this year, with fans raving about the combination of KFC’s Signature Fries topped with crispy Popcorn Chicken and layered with Original Ranch, Smokey BBQ Sauce and Zinger Ranch Dressing.
KFC says both items are unapologetically messy and that’s exactly why they’ve built a cult following among fans.
The limited-edition “dirty duo” is available to order in restaurants, online and through click & collect until October 12.
Foodies have already taken to social media celebrating the comeback, with many saying they’ll be rushing to get their hands on the burger before it disappears again.
But KFC has warned the return won’t last forever, telling fans to act fast if they want to relive one of the brand’s most iconic menu moments.
The burger contains 735 calories, whilst the fries contain 483 calories, according to Nutricheck.
Restaurants and fast food outlets regularly switch up their menus to meet customer demand.
Last week, Greggs finally brought back a much-missed favourite after customers begged for it to return to shelves.
The popular bake, first launched in 2020 following the success of the chain’s iconic Vegan Sausage Roll, quickly built up a cult following.
But it left foodies fuming when it was suddenly axed in May 2024, with many taking to social media to complain.
Now, the Vegan Steak Bake, which vanished from menus last year, has been relaunched under a fresh new name – the Vegan Lattice and is back in stores.
And, Wetherspoons has brought back a fan-favourite meal to its pubs after one determined customer begged the boss to bring it back.
The humble jacket potato with tuna mayo had quietly vanished from the chain’s menus, leaving regulars baffled.
Unwilling to settle for second best, a loyal punter wrote a heartfelt letter directly to JD Wetherspoon founder and chairman Sir Tim Martin, pleading for the much-loved spud filler to make a comeback.
His wish was granted and the beloved jacket potato filling was restored to Wetherspoon’s menu.
Meanwhile, McDonald’s dropped its new menu last week, bringing back its Spicy McNuggets and Chicken Big Mac.
But it meant the Cheesy McCrispy and Halloumi Fries were axed from the menu.
