Wow, the Democrats really dodged a bullet.
No, I am not referring to the presidential election loss of Kamala Harris last November. In that case, the entire country dodged a .50 caliber bullet. Instead, I am talking about the possibility that Kamala Harris would retain a major role in national politics.

After her book tour, that looks very unlikely. She is busy traveling the country offending major Democrats everywhere she turns, and reminding everybody that she is a complete moron.
Kamala Harris claimed she was so worried that Buttigieg would face discrimination for being gay and damage her campaign that she… discriminated against him for being gay.
She did exactly what she said she was worried about happening. Amazing.pic.twitter.com/YYvDS5ZeVg

Going on Rachel Maddow’s show to explain how Pete Buttigieg–one of the two most popular choices for president among Democrats, and perhaps the most popular among Democrats who are not minorities–was a bold move to say the least.
Similarly, Kamala’s appearance on The View today was not the best for her comeback hopes. She already offended lots of important people in her writing, and now she is reminding everybody of just how awful her political instincts are.
She could never have anticipated the single biggest question that is always asked of every VP running for the top job. https://t.co/PuYR7QyYsZ

She can’t even keep her basic talking points straight, which is hardly surprising if you followed the Brat Summer Joy campaign transmogrifying multiple times into various other, darker, modes during the short campaign.
Kamala says Trump is a communist dictator. So now Trump isn’t Hitler, he’s Fidel Castro? I can’t keep up. She’s truly a next level moron: pic.twitter.com/RojLhBHCKR

After having called President Trump a communist, Kamala Harris now says she supports Zohran Mamdani, a communist.

Kamala’s natural audience is people who love The View–yes, a lot of them exist–so she obviously got a good reception there. But of course even those who don’t watch Rachel Maddow or the harridans of The View will see the clips, and the clips aren’t good.

Kamala’s ultimate problem is that she has a tin ear and a runaway mouth. She doesn’t understand people, and hence cannot communicate in a genuine way with them, nor speak to their real concerns. She is trashing her reputation with Democrats who matter a lot in the party, and completely missing the boat when it comes to understanding why she didn’t connect with voters.
Kamala Harris “is being panned for the book and picking fights with lots of Democrats, including the Bidens, who’ve been quiet so far,” says @MarkHalperin. “But trust me — if she keeps it up, they will not be quiet.” #KamalaHarris #Bidens @2waytvapp pic.twitter.com/HdiXwyHHWQ

If she had not been running against Donald Trump, who is seen as The Devil by many Democrats a more than a few Independents, she would have lost by an even bigger margin.

If I were a Democrat, I would ask the billionaires who fund the party to fund a nice sinecure for her at some obscure university to keep her out of the way. That, and buy her a nice vineyard to keep her supply of Pinot flowing.
Kamala Harris on future of the Democratic Party: “I’m a bit done with the punditry around everyone looking for a messiah, the savior of the Democratic Party. There are so many superstars in the party who are doing very, very, good work.”

Kamala is just bad at politics, especially for somebody went so far so fast. I am leery of making the sex jokes about her because they are a bit crude and unfair, but she clearly got where she got due to personal connections and DEI considerations, and not based on her natural talent.
In her new book, Kamala Harris “is seemingly going after anybody and everybody except herself to assign blame for the poorly run campaign and the November loss,” says the Daily Caller’s @ambermarieduke. “It looks like there’s going to be a war with the Bidens. Connections in a political machine as well-oiled as California’s Democratic Party at the state level will get you very far, and her faceplant in 2020 and in her run for president showed that her talents are weak to begin with, and don’t translate outside a very small circle.

Never say never in politics or life, but you can get asymptotically close to “never” when describing her chances of becoming president.
