JURGEN KLOPP is set to make an emotional return to Liverpool for a new “manager role” 18 months after his exit.
The German giant became an Anfield legend during his near-nine year spell.

Klopp won a Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League with Liverpool.
And his exit in the summer of 2024 came as a major blow to fans.
Klopp, who then saw replacement Arne Slot win the title in his first season on Merseyside, is now Head of Global Football at Red Bull.
He has been linked with a managerial return to Real Madrid, who sacked Xabi Alonso and replaced him with Alvaro Arbeloa earlier this month.
Some Liverpool fans would surely jump at the chance to bring Klopp back too, with Slot now struggling for form and linked with the sack.
But they are now set to get their wish, albeit with a caveat.
That’s because Klopp is now returning to Liverpool in a new manager role.
However, it will be as an assistant boss.

And it is for the upcoming Liverpool Legends match against another of his former clubs, Borussia Dortmund.
The two sides clash at Anfield on Saturday March 28 to raise funds for the LFC Foundation, of which Klopp is an honorary ambassador.
He is set to play No2 to none other than ‘King’ Kenny Dalglish.
And Liverpool fans were left wondering whether it was a sign of things to come on the Premier League touchline.
One said: “Can he stay?”
Another declared: “Don’t let him leave.”
One noted: “He needs to be back as manager.”
Another added: “Ask him to come back.”
