JURGEN KLOPP is reportedly is danger of leaving his role at Red Bull after “tensions” with company chiefs.
The former Liverpool boss was only appointed as Red Bull’s Global Head of Football last January.
It came after he ended his nine-year reign at Anfield the previous summer, when the German said he needed a break from top level management.
Instead, Klopp took on a role that placed him in charge of Red Bull’s network of clubs, including Red Bull Leipzig, Salzburg and New York Red Bulls.
But according to Australian newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten, there is now friction between Klopp and Red Bull’s top executives.
The reported rift is said to be linked to the performance of Red Bull’s clubs, particularly Leipzig.
Leipzig are currently fifth in the Bundesliga table and 19 points adrift of league leaders Bayern Munich.
But Red Bull poured cold water on the claims as managing director Oliver Mintzlaff hit back: “It’s completely absurd and unfounded. We are satisfied with Jürgen Klopp’s work.”
However, L’Equipe claim Klopp’s choice of Ole Werner as Leipzig’s new boss last summer has “drawn considerable criticism”.
Klopp was involved in firing Salzburg boss Thomas Letsch and Paris FC coach Stephane Gilli in recent weeks.
But the French outlet claims Klopp was not involved in selecting a new manager for Paris, the French side Red Bull acquired in October 2024.

Paris ended up hiring Antoine Kombouare, even though Klopp would have likely pushed for ex-Red Bull coaches Marco Rose and Adi Hutter, it says.
The French outlet add that Klopp is “not particularly happy” in his role and the prospect of an exit this summer is “growing”.
It even claims Klopp is considering a return to coaching with more time that passes.
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is a candidate to replace him in the role at the end of the season, the report says.
Austrian coach Glasner has already confirmed he will leave Palace when his contract expires in June.
Klopp is still considered as one of the best coaches in the game after he guided Liverpool to a Premier League and Champions League title.
He also lifted the FA Cup and two Carabao Cups during his stint on Merseyside.
