JoJo Siwa‘s ex-partner Kath Ebbs has broken their silence over their split from the dancer in a tearful podcast interview.
The podcast presenter, 27, broke down during an emotional interview on her Conversations With Kath podcast, as they detailed the truth behind JoJo’s decision to end their relationship following her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
During her time on CBB, JoJo set tongues wagging when she formed a close friendship with Love Island star Chris Hughes, with the pair’s tactile behaviour raising eyebrows, given her relationship with Kath at the time.
After leaving the house last month, JoJo immediately broke up with Kath at the CBB wrap party, but has gone onto insist Chris was not to blame, and their relationship is strictly platonic.
In the 90-minute interview, Kath offered their reasons behind posting a 13-minute TikTok video revealing they had been dumped by JoJo, and the dancer’s fury over it.
Kath also shared their own thoughts on Chris, blasting his ‘lukewarm’ reaction to Mickey Rourke’s inappropriate comments towards JoJo, and saying he hasn’t ‘taken responsibility’ for his behaviour in the house.

JoJo and Chris struck up an incredibly close bond while appearing on Celebrity Big Brother together last month, with fans questioning whether their friendship was purely platonic
Detailing the story behind the end of their relationship, Kath shared that were convinced to attend the CBB final by their family, despite suffering a ‘meltdown’ when they first saw a clip of Chris and JoJo cuddling in bed together.
They said that at the time they were struggling with the anniversary of their close friend’s death, and stopped watching the show after seeing that initial clip.
Kath added they decided against appearing on camera during the CBB final, to ‘protect the sacredy of their relationship.’
They said: ‘As soon as she was off camera, the welfare team took her straight to the room that I was in because I watched it on TV, but I was just in a room. We hugged and we said, ”oh my God hi…’
‘We hugged, we kissed… we just, like, held each other for ages. And I think I was crying.
‘And then I did say at one point, ”are we good like this?” And she was like, ”yeah.”
‘And then I was like, great, and then we kissed, she was obviously like very spun out. She’d just been in this crazy thing.’
While Kath was torn whether or not to attend the wrap party, they later decided to attend, and was stunned when JoJo sensationally ended their relationship.

Kath went onto claim that they had been speaking to the CBB welfare team during the final and its aftermath, but alleged their words were being fed back to JoJo, including the fact they didn’t want to meet Chris.
They said: ‘I walked in and kind of like walked in with the vibe of like let’s party… and she just had this like stunned look on her face.
‘Not stunned, just like something was up. I went straight towards her and grabbed her and like said ”are you OK?”’
”And she said ”no, no, no”… So she sat down. I sat down and I just said ”what’s going on babe? What’s wrong?” And she started breaking up with me.
‘I was literally sitting there, so anxious, to be honest, and so devastated that this was happening.
‘And the conversation just, I don’t even know how long it went on for. I’m guessing it was a while because by the time someone came in, we had to leave.
‘It was hard because I kept trying to say to her, give it a beat, not because of wanting to save it. Everyone can break up with whoever they want whenever they want. Unfortunately, it’s the sad rule of life.

‘But I knew she had, she didn’t have any idea what had gone on. She didn’t know what I’d been through. She didn’t, she had no f*****g clue.
‘And I didn’t want to bring that out there. But I was like: ”just can you please give this a beat? Because you don’t know what’s going on. You don’t know what’s happened.”
‘And she brought up things, like the letter and the fact that I wasn’t at the live show and how those things were like nails in the coffin for her.
‘And I kind of said to her, like, and I kept saying when she’d bring that stuff up, ‘babe, like, please, please, please, please. Like there’s so much context. There was so much context.”
‘And there was one point where I did say, ”babe, there’s literally a rumour online that you’ve been cheating on me on national television”… she sort of said that her reasons for breaking up with me were kind of sitting at the surface before any of this other stuff happened.’
Asked for her thoughts on Chris and JoJo’s friendship, Kath said she feels their relationship is ‘platonic,’ but claimed the reality star hasn’t ‘taken responsibility’ for his tactile behaviour in the house.
They said: ‘I never looked at those two and thought they’re gonna run away into the sun together.
‘I did think this is some sort of like strange platonic thing that had gone too far in my opinion, and something that was like crossing so many boundaries for me. But I never felt like they were going to run away together.
‘Even when she said that comment to me at the after party, it wasn’t like I didn’t have this clarification of, ”oh it’s because of Chris”
‘What it showed to me was that it wasn’t 100% platonic and I only say that, and I will say on record that I’m sure it is now, I don’t know, I don’t talk to either of them, but I’m sure it is now and I believe them when they say that.
‘But I think what it alluded to me was, and this is how I felt even when she was in there, was that if you have half of a millisecond where you go, ”oh,” it shows to me that those interactions were not purely platonic.’
Kath said there was a ‘slight truth’ to JoJo’s claims they swore at her during the wrap party, but went onto reveal they then had a private five-hour conversation back at the hotel, where the Dance Moms star shared her reasons for ending their relationship.
They said they asked JoJo about posting a social media video to announce the split, and her ex-partner replied: ‘I don’t mind if you say we’ve broken up. That’s your journey. Do what you got to do.”
Since leaving the CBB house, JoJo and Chris have shown they’re still in touch, with the dance star revealing earlier this week she is hoping to return to the UK ‘at the end of May’
Admitting they were ‘hurt’ by JoJo’s response, and with the support of loved ones, they then proceeded to post their 13-minute video announcing the split, which quickly went viral on social media.
Kath then shared that JoJo was quick to contact them over the video, admitting Chris was ‘upset’ by it.
The star had stated in a previous interview she had no idea Kath would post a video claiming they’d been dumped.
Kath said: ‘JoJo texted me, and said Chris was upset, and she texted me and she said that I had dragged Chris into it, which I thought was a bit hilarious.
‘It’s like Chris dragged himself into it when he said referred to you as his girlfriend on a show and said that he would kiss you. But that’s OK.
‘I said you have just dumped me and this is the first thing you text me. I’m pretty f****g hurt by that.
‘She was like, ”you’re insinuating that I left you for Chris” and I said ”I’m really sorry that I’m made it out like that.”
‘What I was trying to say is that essentially validating my own experience and feelings from what I watched and felt from you.
‘And she kept just going, ”me and Chris are friends, me and Chris are friends.” And I said, ”this is news to me.”
Kath added that they ‘believed’ JoJo when she said that she and Chris were just friends, but claimed they didn’t get that impression during their five-hour chat.
They went onto say they told JoJo: ‘Chris, in your mind is not part of your story of why you’re not with me, he is a part of mine, and that is because of the way that both of you acted, but he acted.
‘And if he doesn’t want to take that level of responsibility for the way that he acted towards someone that had a partner, that’s on him. I did not start this.’
Kath added that they and JoJo went onto have another conversation after they first deleted the video, but said they’re no longer speaking after they reuploaded the clip.
JoJo had claimed in an interview on The Viall Files that Kath agreed to repost the video with ‘context’ around Chris’ involvement in the split, but the activist did not address this during their interview.
Kath said: ‘I felt really understood by her. In that time that we shared after I felt like I finally got to say my piece.
‘I told her everything I felt in there, everything I witnessed everything. How hard it was for me.
‘I felt like my boundaries were crossed. How I felt really hurt that she did it knowing what I was going through on the outside, knowing my relationship history and my past trauma. And I felt like she got me. She got upset, she cried. We had a moment.
‘There were things in our relationship that she brought to my attention that I agreed on. And I said, sometimes when I’m feeling triggered and feeling in my own sort of abandonment stuff, I can show up as a really shitty partner sometimes.
‘And that is my journey, and I agreed with her. And I said, yeah, you have every f****g right to reflect on that and be like, I didn’t like that because I agree with you. And I, like obviously said to you at the time, yeah, I’m acting not nice.’
‘We kind of I thought came to the agreement that I would kind of leave the video. She would squash the romantic conversation about her Chris. She was doing a little press run and so she was like, ”I’ll squash that. You leave your video if it’s still rearing its head.”
‘I said to her, ”if it’s still rearing its head and people are saying that you two are together or something, I’m happy to get back on the phone in a week and we can clear it up together.’
‘And then I texted her thanking her for the conversation later in the day and she blew up at me about re-uploading the video.
‘And I was so confused because I genuinely was like I thought this was like our plan.’
‘She just kept again going on about Chris. And then I kept saying, Chris stuck his foot in it before I ever made a video. You have to take responsibility for that.
‘[The way] you two acted like that in the house, it’s not on me, And then I deleted it because I didn’t I didn’t want to fight with her.’
Kath also furiously hit back at the idea that they were ‘grooming’ JoJo during their relationship due to their six-year age gap.
They said: ‘I’m not laughing about the idea of grooming, I’m laughing at the idea that people would seriously say that, it really minimises the seriousness of that’ Kath said.
‘In terms of the conversation around our age-gap, we see men [like] Leonardo DiCaprio, he dates women notoriously half his age and younger.’
‘So I think there is misogyny at play.’
Since leaving the CBB house, JoJo and Chris have shown they’re still in touch, with the dance star revealing earlier this week she is hoping to return to the UK ‘at the end of May.’
Last week, JoJo continued to gush over her close bond with Chris Hughes as she shared sweet snaps of the pair to Instagram.
JoJo proved her admiration for Chris is still as strong as ever as she mentioned him in a Q&A, while also commenting on her happy memories.
When one fan asked what her favourite picture of the pair was, JoJo uploaded a snap of them hugging in the house, with another seeing them on a FaceTime call together.
While another post saw her hint at her memories of their time together when asked what makes her happy.
She said: ‘So many things… but currently something that’s not very typical. I love replaying things in my head over and over that make me happy!!!!’
JoJo also told how she’s missing the UK ‘very much’ as she shared a tearful video of her heading home following her stay.
With another post showed JoJo practising her and Chris’ dance to Dirty Dancing’s (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life song as she noted he’d yet to show up for rehearsals.
JoJo also revealed how she would do Celebrity Big Brother all over again given the chance.
Fans have been sent into a frenzy over JoJo and Chris’ connection as they are convinced they have a blossoming romance, after JoJo called time on her relationship with partner Kath Ebbs at the CBB wrap party last month.
The pair have kept tongues wagging since they got out of the house, and on Saturday, offered a new glimpse at their friendship in images shared on Snapchat.
In an image shared during a Q&A, Chris revealed that he and JoJo perfected the Dirty Dancing lift they’d practiced while in the CBB house.
Chris then went onto share a snap of himself and JoJo on FaceTime together, telling his followers they’ve ‘kept in touch.’
JoJo and Chris kept viewers guessing over their relationship despite them clarifying during a This Morning appearance that they were ‘just friends’.
Many were left unconvinced, especially after Chris dropped out of appearing in the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating.
JoJo’s latest appearance stoked the flames further when she failed to shut down a possibility of a romantic future when she appeared at Stanford Speakers Bureau for A Night with JoJo Siwa.
The Dance Moms star was asked how she sees the relationship progressing, to which she said: ‘I mean look, we have the absolute most fun together and he is an absolute gem that’s come into my life.
JoJo’s words were met with an abundance of ‘awws’ from the crowd and reacting to them, she said: ‘Don’t let him see this it will boost his ego!’
She continued: ‘Genuinely something I love about him so much is that he has zero ego, he’s a really incredible sweet man.
‘I told him this on the last night, maybe it wasn’t the last night but sometime. I said you’re a vital part of my life that I didn’t know was missing.’
‘But I’m happy that I don’t have to anymore. So yeah he is an awesome guy and I think he will be around for a very long time.’
As the crowd wolf whistled at her response, JoJo told them to grow up.
Confirming that Chris is going nowhere, she said: ‘He’s a keeper, we’ll keep him around, we’ll see.’
