JOJO Siwa’s ex partner has broken their silence about getting engaged just six months after the pair’s split.
Kath Ebbs, 27, was dumped by the Boomerang songstress after she found a connection with her ITV reality show co-star Chris Hughes during their Celebrity Big Brother stint.
Kath then found love and an apparent fiancé with their new partner Tilly Lucas-Rodd – and revealed they were set to wed in a series of romantic snaps this week.
Kath, who is non-binary, told fans she would be saying I Do to Australian Rules footballer Tilly, 29, after just months of dating.
Tilly and Kath took to Instagram live to reveal the sweet news to fans yet Kath has now taken to their Stories to give a further update.
They have insisted their engagement was in fact a joke – and it was Kath’s “sense of humour getting me into trouble”.
On their social media page they added: “Guys I’m p*****g myself…
“Me and Tilly as a joke… someone asked because we both wear rings on our wedding fingers, and so the whole running joke was like ‘yeah we’re engaged.’
“I’ve woken up to articles saying that me and Tilly are engaged.”
They added: “I feel like every time I open TikTok something happens.
“I feel like when I’m my silly, sarcastic, taking the p**s self on here, sometimes I get misunderstood but most of the time y’all understand me.
“As soon as I open TikTok people are just on there either calling me names, not getting my humour… I think it’s Americans, they take me earnestly.
“Or speaking of, I apparently am getting married.”

Their original fake engagement post saw the pair both flashing their silver rings to the camera whilst relaxing on the sofa together.
Kath first went Instagram official with their new beau back in July, with the pair looking completely loved up in the social media snaps.
“The rumours are true! YES I still (stupidly) believe in love!!!”, they captioned the post of four black and white photo booth style images, kissing and cuddling with Tilly.

JoJo Siwa went public with hers and Kath Ebbs’ relationship in January 2025.
The Dance Moms star had been introduced to 27-year-old Australian content creator Kath by a mutual friend called G-Flip six months earlier.
JoJo had split with her girlfriend Dakayla Wilson in November 2024 and it is believed she hooked up romantically with Kath soon after.
Speaking in March at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, JoJo said of her relationship: “I am so happy. I am in a very mature relationship, and it’s beautiful. It’s taught me so much about life.
“It’s taught me so much about love and respect, and it’s a beautiful thing.
“It’s different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn’t even know what to say the biggest is ‘cause just everything is so different and special.”
Kath even claimed they had talked about marriage together.
However, JoJo’s romance with Kath abruptly hit the skids on April 25, 2025, at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party.
JoJo dumped Kath at the bash after spending 19 days in the CBB house – where she had grown close to Love Island star Chris Hughes.
Fans were quick to congratulate Kath, though the seemingly subtle dig towards the JoJo drama in the caption where Kath said “stupidly” didn’t appear to go unnoticed.
The Australian content creator dated the former Dance Moms celeb for a short period of time before JoJo called it quits, leading Kath to admit they were in a ‘dark place’ due to the breakup.
It’s strongly suggested that the sudden break up came after JoJo started to catch feelings for former Love Island contestant, Chris.
Chris and JoJo were contestants on Celebrity Big Brother UK at the same time earlier in the year.
Their close on-screen bond sparked speculation of cheating, but both JoJo and Kath have publicly stated that cheating played no part in their decision to part ways.
Chris and JoJo were close, but only made their relationship official in June.
Shortly beforehand JoJo made it clear to the public that they identified as “queer, not lesbian”.
JoJo reportedly told Kath at the Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party that they no longer wanted to be in the relationship because their feelings had changed.
