MAN City ace John Stones is facing a possible red card from council planners after putting up an 8ft fence at his Cheshire mansion – WITHOUT permission.
The England international was caught offside when a neighbour grassed him up to the local council and enforcement officers visited his £4.3million lakeside home.

The defender, 31, has applied for retrospective consent but could be forced to tear down the unauthorised metal barrier which was put up to boost security and complete a “ring of steel”.
It comes just four years after he won his bid to keep a 100ft-long wall with trendy stone cladding which was also built without planning permission.
Stones’ luxurious six-bedroom pad boasts an indoor swimming pool and leisure complex, gym, home cinema, games room, media room and landscaped gardens, set in two acres.
The gated, state-of-the-art home also has six reception rooms, five bathrooms, a children’s play room, a triple garage and a separate one-bedroom apartment for guests.
The bespoke open plan kitchen is fitted with American walnut and hand-painted furniture with polished marble flooring and there’s also a stylish oak and glass balustrade staircase.
Stones paid £3.4million for the mansion following his £47.5million move from Everton to City in 2016, but it is now believed to be worth £4.3million.
Paperwork filed at Cheshire East Council reveal that building work on the fence started in April and was finally completed in September.
The application was lodged in Stones’ beautician wife Olivia’s name.
He had contractors install the folded wire mesh fence with dark green metal posts on part of his northern boundary “to complete the security perimeter”.
Officials are expected to make a decision next month on whether he can keep the fence and there have so far been no objections from neighbours or the parish council.
Other footballers who live nearby include Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, Everton stars Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane, Man Utd ace Mason Mount and United legend Wayne Rooney.
A rep for Stones was approached for comment.
