Joel Dommett, Kelly Brook and Adele Roberts hit the ground running as they lead the stars taking part in London Marathon 2025 – while Jesy Nelson, Georgia Toffolo and Cherry Healey cheer on their partners from sidelines

Among the thousands of runners taking on the 2025 London Marathon on Sunday were a few familiar faces, as a slew of celebrities came out to take part.

A record number of people applied for this year’s marathon, with more than 840,000 applications received for the iconic 26 mile trek around the capital

And among those on the starting line on Sunday were Joel Dommett, Kelly Brook, Harry Judd and Adele Roberts, who all took to their social medias ahead of the race to voice both their excitement and nerves.

While Jesy Nelson, Cherry Healey and Georgia Toffolo showed their support, as they cheered on their partners and declared their pride for them on Instagram.

Joel floored fans on Saturday after revealing his exhausting schedule prior to the marathon itself.

The comedian, 39, revealed his journey to the finish line actually began the afternoon before when he set off from his house in South West London.

He proceeded to travel to Leeds for a comedy show before driving two and a half hours to Cambridge for the night.

Joel had a brief six and a half hours sleep – with the assumption that he slept straight away on arriving in Cambridge – before getting up again at half 6 on Sunday and leaving his hotel at 6:45 to travel to Greenwich roundabout.

His schedule, written out precisely on a white board and shared on Instagram, doesn’t end there as he then undertook a half an hour warmup run as he made his way to the starting line ahead of the marathon.

Joel hopes to complete the marathon in under three hours, no mean feat, before meeting his wife Hannah Cooper and baby son Wilde at the finish line.

He explained he needed to stick to his three hour time in order for Wilde to be able to get an afternoon nap in the car ride home.

Once home, if all goes to plan, Joel then has an ice bath and a meal scheduled before being picked up at 4:45pm to head to filming.

Joel captioned the eye-popping post: ‘Swipe for some terrible planning and excellent carb loading.’

The schedule was one of several pictures relating to the event, including a snap of Joel’s running gear, which revealed that he is completing the marathon in aid of Brain Tumour Support.

Meanwhile, pregnant singer Jesy cheered on her boyfriend Zion Foster from her hospital bed in an emotional post on Sunday morning.

The Little Mix star, 34, has been in hospital since late March after being diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) – a rare condition that can put one or both babies at risk.

Earlier this month, she had to undergo an emergency procedure due to complications and has been advised to remain in hospital until she reaches a certain number of weeks in her pregnancy, as there are concerns she could go into early labour.

However, she made sure to still show her support for Zion, who is running to raise funds for the Twins Trust charity which supports parents of multiples as well as improving maternity care and research.

Watching the BBC coverage on TV as her boyfriend lined up with thousands of other runners at the start line, Jesy gushed: ‘I feel so emotional this morning knowing my baby is running the marathon for our babies and for @twinstrust. @zionfoster my heart feels so proud of you, you got this my angel’.

On Friday, Zion and Jesy shared a video as he proudly showed off his Marathon shirt and asked fans for ‘a final donations push’.

A teary-eyed Jesy told her boyfriend: ‘You’re doing this for these little babies and all the families that are going through it and all the people that have gone through all the stuff we’ve been through and worse.’

Kelly is taking part in the 26.2 mile run with her husband Jeremy Parisi with Radox UK.

She took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday morning to share a video of her and Jeremy in the car on their way to the race, captioned: ‘Good luck runners!’

Despite looking typically glamorous in her green running shirt, Kelly revealed the couple hadn’t had the best of starts as their burglar alarm had gone off in the night.

She said: ‘Good morning! So we just thought we’d get up and run a little marathon today. Cause that’s what we do. See you out there!’

Turning to Jeremy she asked: ‘Are you excited?’ as he replied: ‘Always’.

However, Kelly added: ‘We didn’t get any sleep. Our burglar alarm went off at 1 o’clock in the morning. Awesome.’

Ahead of the marathon Kelly has voiced her nerves for the big race, while keeping fans updated on her and Jeremy’s training.

Last month, she wrote on Instagram: ‘I’m not a runner in fact I’ve never ran more than 5k so this was a huge achievement today!!

‘Rocky & Apollo would be proud. 20k completed it @londonmarathon @radoxuk’
