She announced their birth on Instagram as “healthy and fighting strong” despite being born prematurely.

The former Little Mix star also revealed to her fans that she had named her daughters, Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.

She has yet to reveal the meanings behind the names, Ocean’s middle name is likely to be a nod to Jesy’s older sister, Jade, with whom she is very close.

Jesy had been staying in hospital since due to having twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), a rare but serious condition in which blood flows unevenly between identical twins sharing a placenta.

One or both of her babies were at risk of dying, but in March she underwent an emergency procedure to give her babies the best chance of survival.

Ocean and Story were born just shy of 32 weeks – pregnancies are usually for the duration 40 weeks, however 37 weeks is considered full term and twin pregnancies are rarely longer than this.

Babies born at 31 weeks will likely spend an extended period in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) receiving round-the-clock care.

Announcing her happy news, Jesy wrote on Instagram: “So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31weeks plus 5 days.

“It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love.”

Perrie Edwards says she still cries over Jesy Nelson leaving Little Mix five years on – but insists ‘we did everything we could’

Jesy also revealed their beautiful names, adding: “Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Born on 15.05.2025.”

New dad Zion said: “My princesses are here. Thank you god.”

Shauna Leven, Chief Executive of Twins Trust, reacted to news of the twins’ arrival.

“We are pleased to hear about the safe arrival of Jesy and Zion’s twin girls, born at 31 weeks and 5 days,” Shauna said.

“While this joyful news will resonate with many, it also highlights a reality that parents of multiples know all too well — early births are far more common in twin and triplet pregnancies, often bringing with them unexpected challenges and a stay in neonatal care.

“The NICU can be a daunting place, especially for parents experiencing it for the first time.

“We send our warmest congratulations to Jesy and her family, and want all parents in similar situations to know — you are not alone.”
