JESSIE J has revealed how she is gone back to work for the first time since having cancer surgery.
The star, 37, also talked about changes she has been inspired to make following her breast cancer battle.
Jessie had a mastectomy in June and last month revealed the disease had not spread.
In an Instagram post today, the singer, who’s real name Jessie Cornish, was seen being driven in the back of car.
She revealed: “First time since the surgery that I have gone out to work, like since the Summertime Ball.”
Jessie then talked about the aspirations she had now, following her cancer journey: “I want to write books. Do a kids album. Get all my tattoos taken off. Take my family on holiday.
“I want to learn to ride a bike. I’d like to learn another language… but I know that’s not going to happen.
“I want to see if I can sort out some medication or some cognitive therapy or something for my ADHD and OCD.”
Jessie explained: “When you go through something like cancer people are like ‘you’ve changed’.
“But I think I always had those thoughts, cancer just makes us actually act on them because you’re like life is short, ‘I want to do it now’.
“I’ve always wanted to do that so I’m going to do it.”
BRAVE ADMISSION
Jessie has been giving fans regular updates on her breast cancer ordeal.
This week she revealed how her hair had been falling out.
It came as she talked about how her life will change following her diagnosis.
In another Instagram video, she told fans: “My hair has been falling out like crazy since the surgery.
“Five weeks today, since my surgery, and I’m feeling OK
“Now I’m just trying to figure out what the next kind of six months is going to look like.
“I know that it has to change, and I can’t do anything that I was supposed to be doing, but I just want to be able to like, make it work best I can for everybody, me, Sky, my fans, but in the right order.
“It’s so hard, like you’re always going to leave some people disappointed, my perspective on everything has changed so much.”
MORE SURGERY
Last week, Jessie said she needed more surgery after she was taken to hospital with an infection and fluid on her lungs.
The mum of one, who had hits with Price Tag and Bang Bang, also said yesterday she had a new song “coming out soon”.
But Jessie reckoned she would “not be able to do as much promo for it”.
BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS
At the start of June, Jessie revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and would soon undergo surgery.
She opened up about the sad news on Instagram in video she uploaded.
In the post Jessie bravely told fans: “I was diagnosed with early breast cancer.”
She added: “Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early’.”
