Jessie J has apologised to fans as she announced she has had to cancel her US tour dates and postpone her UK shows amid her ongoing cancer battle.

The hit singer, 37, underwent a mastectomy in June amid her battle with breast cancer, and taking to Instagram on Thursday evening she revealed she has now found out she needs a second surgery.

While Jessie didn’t go into the particulars of the operation she reassured fans it is ‘nothing serious’ but it will clash with her upcoming tour dates.

Filming a clip for her fans she began: ‘As some of you may know I just had breast cancer surgery eight weeks ago, that’s the first thing.

‘The second thing is unfortunately I have to have a second surgery. Nothing too serious but it has to be done by the end of the year and unfortunately that falls right in the middle of a tour I had booked.

‘So I am living in the moment, I am embracing in the moment and I am flowing with the vibes.’

Apologising she continued: ‘I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad. But also it is what it is. I need to be better, I need to be healed and this is the right decision to make so I am postponing the tour until next year.’

She revealed the UK and European dates have been moved to April 2026, however her US dates so far have not been rescheduled due to logistics.

Jessie explained: ‘I haven’t be able to finesse the US dates yet so unfortunately that will be cancelled but I’m spending all my time trying to find time to make the venues make sense again in a slab of time next year.

‘Please bear with us for the US tour, it is something I want to do but when the time is right.

‘You guys know how much I want to do all of it but I just can’t and I have to be realistic.’

She teased there is new music coming as she added: ‘I am trying to be in the moment and compartmentalise all the different things that are happening in my life and where I have to give the energy,

‘But I have to heal so forgive me. I am sorry this sucks, but I know you probably knew this was coming.’

She added: ‘I love you all so much, I’m going to go before I cry my eyes out.’

She recorded Jamie Laing‘s Great Company podcast in two parts – first in May when she revealed her diagnosis and later after she had her surgery.

After hearing the recording of the first part of the podcast she didn’t want it released and came back after her surgery to record again where she spoke openly and honestly about her cancer battle.

Jessie told how she found it hard having surgery and treatment as she missed out on time with Sky.

She said: ‘Yesterday I sobbed. I feel like I can’t be a mum to my son and I miss him. I feel like cancer has robbed me of memories with my boy.

‘I have missed stuff with the treatment and stuff moves so fast when you have a toddler. Some days are awful.’

The singer also reflected on some of the lower moments of her cancer battle as she said: ‘I had moments where I thought “this is going to go left and I’m going to die”.’

She added however: ‘But I weirdly kind of enjoy bad things happening to me sometimes as it means I need to grow. I believe bad things happen to me so I can help other people who will then go through it.’

Jessie described how she found a lump in her breast and went on to have a biopsy before the doctors rang her with the results.

She said: ‘When they told me I just burst into tears. The doctors had said it was probably just a cyst so I wasn’t too worried. The lump was about 4-5cms of cancer.

‘But my music and my love of my job got me through this. I was so busy with work after the diagnosis I don’t think I processed things properly.’
