Jeffrey Epstein‘s £60million Manhattan mansion was a lair filled with hidden surveillance cameras and bizarre artwork, according to shocking new details.
The convicted paedophile’s seven-storey home, just off Fifth Avenue, was secretly wired with surveillance devices, including cameras positioned above his bed and in adjoining rooms.
Several of his victims say he filmed guests without their knowledge, and some believe the footage was used to manipulate or blackmail.
While no tapes have ever been released publicly, Epstein’s properties in New York and Florida were both said to be equipped with recording systems.
In 2021, artist Maria Farmer, who had worked as a receptionist at the home, claimed that she had seen secret surveillance rooms where staff monitored live video feeds from around the house.
She told The Sun: ‘All of Epstein’s residences had these mechanical rooms and tunnel systems… I know this because Epstein told me.
‘These rooms were enormous – bigger than houses. I have no idea why anyone needs so many computers in one room.
‘There were pinhole cameras to record everything on every estate. The cameras were ubiquitous. You couldn’t see them unless they were pointed out to you.’

The entrance to the 21,000-square-foot home was lined with glass cases displaying prosthetic eyeballs.
Hanging in the main hall was a life-sized sculpture of a woman in a bridal gown, clutching a noose-like rope, according to The New York Times.
Up the sweeping staircase, Epstein’s personal office was filled with dark wood and strange objects, including a taxidermied tiger sprawled across a rug.
Among the books on display was a rare first edition of Lolita, Vladimir Nabokov’s scandalous 1955 novel about a man’s sexual obsession with a 12-year-old girl who he rapes.
There were also framed photographs of the financier with world leaders, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Other notable leaders who appeared in snaps with him include Pope John Paul II and one of him with US president Donald Trump and his wife Melania.
Ghislaine Maxwell, his ex-girlfriend and accomplice, who is now serving time in a Texas prison, is in that photograph, but it is cropped to exclude her.
Elsewhere in the house were photos of naked women, shelves filled with massage oils and lubricants, and a large silver ball and chain.

Teenage girls, some reportedly recruited from middle schools in Queens, were brought in consistently to give Epstein ‘massages’ while he was naked.
Court records and interviews with survivors detail how these sessions often turned sexual. Some say he masturbated in front of them, while others say they were raped.
One of the most shocking claims came from Virginia Giuffre, who has alleged Epstein and his associates trafficked her to powerful men around the world when she was still a teenager – claims strongly denied by those she named.
Despite persistent rumours about a stash of blackmail material, including ‘tens of thousands’ of videos, no such evidence has surfaced.
In 2023, the FBI said there was no credible proof that Epstein used surveillance footage to blackmail anyone.
However, Epstein’s habit of allegedly recording people and collecting compromising material has left a long shadow.
Epstein died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
