Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard was left shaking after appearing to be ‘possessed by a spirit’ as she took to a terrifying reality series.
New scenes from Discovery+ show Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted show the team halting filming after the actress, who is best known for playing Liz McDonald on the ITV soap, convulsed during the terrifying moment.
Beverley, 68, who has also taken part in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, took to the series after reporting strange occurrences in her 19th century home.
The celebrity spin-off sees the team of experts, paranormal investigator Jayne Harris, tech expert Barri Ghai, and psychic medium Ian Lawman, help famous faces investigate any paranormal happenings in their houses.
Beverley welcomed the team into the converted barn she shares with husband Jon in Norfolk after struggling to settle in due to the possible paranormal activity.
After moving from Salford into the dream property, Beverley explained she had been left scared to be in the home after alarms started going off in the middle of the night.

During the alarms, the actress revealed she had seen two specs of light in the room – and now she refused to set foot in the home alone.
Agreeing to take part in a ritual to see if there might be paranormal forces lurking within the home, Beverley soon appeared to be ‘taken over’ by a spirit.
Swinging a crystal pendulum in front of her face, Beverley attempted to communicate with any spirits before being left sweating and shaking in front of the experts.
‘I’m absolutely boiling,’ she said, as the experts measure the temperature of the air around her, which is explained to have a ‘direct correlation’ to any paranormal activity.
‘Are you a young boy?’ Beverley asked the spirit, as the pendulum begun to rapidly swing back and forth and change direction, as she reassured the experts: ‘I’m not moving, I’m not moving at all.’
‘Do you feel trapped in some way?’ Beverley continued, before her hand, arms and body slowly began to shake, without her noticing.
Stepping in to help her, one of the experts asked: ‘Are you alright? Are you OK?’ as they rushed to ‘clear the aura and energy’ from around her and assist her.
Clearly shaken up by the experience, Beverley concluded: ‘Can I run out of here!?’ before pleading with the team to keep her out of any further experiments in the investigation.

During the episode, Beverley goes on to meet with historians and experts in an attempt to work out what is lurking in her home.
It comes after EastEnders actor Shaun Williamson claimed he was ‘pushed down the stairs by a ghost’ at his Isle of Sheppey home, after spotting a spooky woman in the window.
The TV star, 59, who is renowned for playing Barry Evans for a decade in the BBC soap, recalled the bizarre paranormal experience on Celebrity Help! My House is Haunted.
He said: ‘One day, I was walking down the stairs with a cup of tea in one hand and a plate in the other and I just fell.
‘It wasn’t like a buckle, I went up in the air, both feet and landed on my back. My cup of tea and plate smashed. It took me five minutes to get my breath back.
‘I just thought, “Christ, what was that?” At the back of your mind, you wonder if it’s the ghost.
‘When the team moved in we found out that there was a strong presence on that stairway.’
After his peculiar experience, Shaun said he began to notice early signs of paranormal activity in his home.

He added: ‘When we moved into the house, there were the usual bumps every old house gets in the night.
‘It could be wind in the attic, anything really. But then pictures started coming off walls – they were securely fastened – that’s when I knew something was up.
‘I remember when we were doing our kitchen extension, we got to know the builders really well.
‘So sometimes we would go off to work on a Friday at the weekend and leave them to lock up after saying goodbye.
‘Once, half an hour later, they phoned and said “You haven’t left then yet?” but we were halfway out on the M25. They said there was a woman upstairs looking out at us.’
Shaun later said there was reportedly the spirit of a man named George, who murdered his wife in the 1900s.
He said: ‘So he’s just a wrongen, George is an a******* and he had to go.
‘That’s why I’m really glad of this programme, because now, even if bits of his spirit remain, it’s not doing any harm.’
