JAMIE CARRAGHER was left red-faced after accidentally invading a Brazilian Champions League broadcast.
Carragher was in attendance at the Etihad with CBS Sports for Manchester City’s clash with Borussia Dortmund.
While pitchside before the game Carragher decided to go for a wander to admire the view inside the ground.
However, the Liverpool icon inadvertently appeared in the background of TNT Sports Brazil.
He was seen quickly trying to exit as he realised what he had done, but the gaffe was caught by the CBS crew and shared with the studio panel, including Kate Scott, Thierry Henry and Micah Richards.
Addressing his shock appearance, Carragher said he was “minding my own business”.
Standing next to Peter Schmeichel, the legendary goalkeeper joked Carragher’s pitchside behaviour had improved since Dortmund, when the 47-year-old got plastered drinking with fans in Germany.
CBS then cut to show the clip from TNT Brazil, with Carragher wandering into the background before realising where he was, pulling a face, and then quickly exiting the screen.
The presenter switched from Portuguese to English to invite Carragher over for a quick word.
Carragher was heard apologising before he said, “I’ve got lots of friends in Brazil”.

The presenter joked: “Am I one?” To which the former England star replied: “You are now,” before they shared a handshake as Carragher went on his way.
Back in the studio, Richards said it was the “fastest you’ve ever moved, Jamie”.
Carragher shrugged his shoulders before saying: “I’m just minding my own business, not having a bevvy and saying just behave yourself, you’re in Manchester.
“And then I got caught in all kinds of trouble.”
Fans on social media found the interaction hilarious, with one saying: “Brilliant.”
A second said: “Looooll this guy man.”
Others shared a series of laughing emojis.
