JAMIE CARRAGHER apologised to Chelsea fans as he named his controversial team of the season so far.
The Sky Sports pundit delivered his verdict on Monday Night Football following Fulham’s 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Carragher had plenty of options to consider as he picked his 11 stars of the Premier League campaign.
And there were some interesting choices across the pitch.
In goal, Carragher opted for Sunderland stopper Robin Roefs.
The backline saw Crystal Palace pair Daniel Munoz and Marc Guehi alongside Arsenal duo Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori.
A third Gunner made the team in midfield, with Declan Rice getting the nod.
He was joined by Sunderland’s Granit Xhaka and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
And up front, Manchester City hitman Erling Haaland was flanked by Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
One notable omission from the XI was Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo, with many fans believing him to be one of the best No6s in the beautiful game.

And Carragher was forced to issue an apology for overlooking the Ecuadorian as he revealed his team.
Carragher said: “I think Declan Rice just has the edge on Caicedo. I just felt the impact of Xhaka this season, he’s had the biggest impact of a signing or effect on a team.
“He’s so important to Sunderland, he had to be in the team.
“I apologise to Chelsea fans as I seem to do a lot. But no, I couldn’t find room for Caicedo.”
Carragher also revealed his top three players, naming Haaland and Rice as the best two performers with Rogers close behind.
But fans were not happy with some of his picks.
One said: “This is the worst line up.”
Another declared: “Where is Reece James?”
One noted: “Big questions for me.”
Another added: “Can’t take it seriously.”
