I’ve found my dream nail polishes — they look just like gel and dry in 60 SECONDS

I ALWAYS do my nails at home to avoid paying salon costs, meaning I’ve tried A LOT of different nail polishes.

My biggest gripe is how long they can take to dry, but I’ve solved the problem with OPI’s new Rapidry Nail Polish, which costs just £9.

O.P.I Rapidry Quick-Dry Nail Polish: Quickfire Q&A

How much is it? It’s £9 per bottle, putting it firmly in the mid-range for a nail polish. It’s actually a lot cheaper than a lot of OPI’s products.

Who’s it best for? Anyone looking for a gel-look without paying salon prices.

What we loved: It did what it said on the tin, drying after just 60 seconds, allowing me to get on with my day.

What we didn’t love: The colour options could be more extensive, but as a new range, I’m sure they’ll be added in time.

In my hunt for a nail polish range that actually delivers on its claims to be quick-drying, I tested out O.P.I’s new collection.

Opting for a variety of shades, I tried No Further Delays (a mint green), Within Peach (…peach), Secs Appeal (a classic red) and Clearly Fast (a clear coat).

I love that the range includes a mixture of bright and dark shades, though when the brand expands the collection, it would be great to see more neutrals.

As it says in the name, the new polish’s main selling point is the short drying time, and when I painted my nails, I set a 60-second timer on my phone to test this out.

The key to staying power is always to apply thin coats, and when I did this, I was stunned when the polish dried as quickly as it promised.

The wide brush speeds up the application, and a little goes a long way, so I can see each bottle lasting a while.

I was left with a smooth, glossy finish, and not a streak in sight.

Squeezing in a rushed nail application between chores or before heading out is a common occurrence for me, and usually ends in gloopy edges, smudges, and unwanted fluff getting caught in half-wet polish.

Now I’ve found something that avoids that completely, I know I’ll be reaching for these O.P.I polishes every week.

O.P.I Rapidry Quick-Dry Nail Polish: the verdict

I think I’ve finally found the ultimate nail polishes for impatient people like me.

The nail polishes dry incredibly quickly, so you can go about your day almost immediately, without stickiness or risk of smudging.

The colour pay-off is great too, leaving a streak-free finish with a glossy look similar to what you get with gel polish.
