A STEAMY American drama that’s been dubbed the “naughtiest” show on television has now landed in the UK.
Audiences have said they can’t stop watching the wild series which first premiered on Netflix earlier this summer and has since dropped on ITVX.
The Hunting Wives delivers saucy action, racy bedroom scenes and a jaw-dropping “trashy” plotline that viewers simply can’t get enough of.
The story follows Sophie O’Neil, played by Brittany Snow, who leaves behind her seemingly perfect life in Boston with her husband Graham (Evan Jonigkeit) and their son after accidentally killing someone in her car.
The family moves to East Texas, where Sophie struggles to adapt to her unfamiliar surroundings.
Her world shifts when she meets her striking and mysterious neighbour Margo Banks (Malin Åkerman), a woman in what appears to be an open marriage.
Sophie soon finds herself deeply in love with Margo – on a physical and emotional level.
Sophie is soon drawn into Margo’s glamorous social circle too – a wealthy and influential group known as the Hunting Wives.
She begins a secret, passionate affair with her new best friend.
The show doesn’t shy away from pushing boundaries, featuring bold party scenes, the women topless and flashing their thongs and sex scenes.
At the same time, Sophie’s marriage remains part of the story, with further X-rated moments shared with her husband.
As the season unfolds, the Hunting Wives find themselves at the centre of a murder investigation that rocks their tight-knit community.
Despite running for just one series, the show has made a strong impression, earning a solid 76 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Fans have been loving the OTT plotlines and sexy scenes.
One took to Reddit earlier this year to write: “I was addicted and so glad I binged it in a single weekend.
“What a fun trashy ride.”
A second posted: “Everything has been said regarding it being the perfect summer sleazy schlockfest we all love.
“I described it to my friends as Outer Banks meets Desperate Housewives meets Friday night Skinemax.”
A third quipped: “I recommended the show to my mother-in-law yesterday via text and mentioned it was horny and corny.”
Another posted: “The show is completely absurd and ridiculous….Sophie moves there, totally shy and anxiety ridden but within a week has bought a gun, trying to impress the most horrible people.
“And is cheating in her husband with another woman she just met?!
“Trashy and sleazy and I SERIOUSLY COULDN’T STOP WATCHING.”
Stream The Hunting Wives on ITVX from December 27.
