LIVERPOOL are in “crisis” and looked “really weak” against Manchester City, according to Roy Keane.
Arne Slot’s side were brushed aside at the Etihad.
Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez and the superb Jeremy Doku got the goals to secure an impressive 3-0 win – after Haaland had an early penalty saved.
It could have been different if Virgil van Dijk’s goal was allowed to stand.
But the VAR agreed with the assistant referee that Andy Robertson, clearly stood in an offside position, was interfering with play.
However, Keane reckons the controversial call had very little impact on the result – because Liverpool have far bigger problems right now.
Arne Slot’s Reds now sit eighth in the table on 18 points – behind Manchester United on goals scored.
They are eight points adrift of leaders Arsenal after 11 games… and eight points outside the relegation zone.
And Keane reckons it is panic stations at Anfield.
He said on Sky Sports: “I think it is crisis time for Liverpool.

“We know they can be beaten at Man City, we know it’s a tough place to come and the signs are Man City are obviously getting back to their very best.
“But to lose seven in ten and five league losses already this season, it has to be a crisis for a club like Liverpool.
“The decision could have gone against them but overall City look stronger, technically better and they looked much better physically than Liverpool today.
“I thought Liverpool were a really weak team today.”
Keane, 54, did offer some glimmers of hope for the struggling reigning Premier League champions – but offset those positives with the context of the game already being done and dusted.
The ex-Manchester United captain added: “Still at moments. of course Liverpool have got that quality, they’ll still cause teams problems.
“But defensively, the goals they’ve given away, the decision making, lack of intensity, lack of energy… they’re chopping and changing, bringing subs on but it just looked really flat.
“Gary [Neville] mentioned it, the manager mentioned it, he was pleased with the second half but the game was over. The game was over.
“It’s very easy to play when you’re 2-0 or 3-0 down when the other team has take their foot off the gas.”
